The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part II continues the story of Ellie and Joel. Five years after the events of its predecessor, the two settle in Jackson and try to live a largely normal life in a peaceful community. Ellie makes new friends and seems to fall in love when an act of violence tears her from the newly created idyll. A campaign of revenge begins.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

When will The Last of Us Part II be released?

After several postponements the release date for The Last of Us 2 is finally announced. The role-playing game will be released on June 19, 2020 on PlayStation 4.

No, the second part of The Last of Us is linear as well. However, the level sections are, as in the predecessor, very large. According to Naughty Dog, The Last of Us Part II should be 50 percent bigger than the first part.

No, that’s for sure. Naughty Dog has already communicated this via Twitter. They had been working on a multiplayer mode, but due to the extensive work on the singleplayer campaign, this would not have been possible at the same time as the main game. However, they don’t want to discard the developments so far, but release them at some point – but not as part of The Last of Us 2.

After the debut trailer many fans believed that Joel is dead. But the release date reveal trailer of The Last of Us Part II, which was published in September 2019, showed a Joel that was aging but alive. Neil Druckmann told IGN that although the relationship between the two protagonists is tense at the beginning of The Last of Us Part II, Joel will continue to play a very important role.

The Last of Us 2, like its predecessor, is PlayStation exclusive. Although there have been rumours of a PC release, nothing like this has been confirmed by official sources so far.
