With a free content update, GSC Game World is expanding the world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl with a new story-driven mission.
The “Sealed Truth” update is available to all Stalker 2 owners at no extra cost. It adds a new narrative thread that takes you deep into the so-called “X-Labs.” These underground facilities were sealed off after a series of failed experiments.
According to GSC Game World, rumors are spreading across the game world that a technician named Diod may have found a way into a lower section of X-18. What is actually happening there remains unclear. That is exactly where the new mission begins: you follow the trail and investigate the events for yourself.
The job may sound straightforward, but the expedition is expected to quickly turn into a dangerous operation with an uncertain outcome. Alongside the promised reward, you may also uncover rare gear or previously hidden knowledge.
A Compact Story Expansion to Bridge the Gap
Compared with larger updates, “Sealed Truth” focuses on a more targeted expansion of the game’s backstory. GSC Game World describes the content as a smaller but meaningful addition with a stronger emphasis on narrative elements.
That continues the studio’s approach from earlier free updates. Late last year, for example, “Stories Untold” added extra questlines, new areas, and characters, while also letting you make choices that can permanently alter the state of the game world.
The new update is mainly meant to help tide players over until the upcoming “Cost of Hope” expansion, which is planned as the game’s first major story add-on.
