From August 14 to 17, 2025, you can play three full games at no extra cost on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, provided you have an active Game Pass membership. The exception: “Star Overdrive” is available to all Xbox users, with or without a subscription.

Caribbean Survival in “Survival: Fountain of Youth”

“Survival: Fountain of Youth” is a single-player adventure that casts you as a shipwreck survivor in the 16th century, exploring 18 Caribbean islands. You’ll need to survive, craft tools, build shelters, and uncover the secrets of a lost civilization. Developed by Twin Sails Interactive, the title is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Trophy Fishing in “The Catch: Carp & Coarse Fishing”

In “The Catch: Carp & Coarse Fishing” by Dovetail Games, you’ll hunt monster fish across the globe. The game features 35 species, 125 legendary boss fish, and five fishing locations. Strategy and patience are key. It’s also 80% off during the promotion.

Hoverboard Adventure in “Star Overdrive”

“Star Overdrive” from Dear Villagers is free for all Xbox players. Glide through an open alien world on your hoverboard, pull off tricks, fight enemies, solve puzzles, and use special powers to shape your story. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and currently available at a discount.

Xbox Free Play Days: How It Works

As with all Free Play Days, your progress and achievements carry over if you decide to purchase later. Discounts are available for a limited time and may vary by region. All three games can be installed via the “Free Play Days” category in the Xbox Store. The Free Play Days program is part of Microsoft’s regular community initiative that gives Game Pass subscribers access to rotating full games – usually over the weekend and often paired with purchase incentives.
