The Xbox Game Pass lineup continues in the new year with plenty of fresh additions. We have rounded up all titles coming in January 2026.

To start the year, Microsoft is expanding Xbox Game Pass with a mix of new releases, well-known franchises, and smaller productions. January 2026 features action and horror games alongside family-friendly and more experimental titles. Here is an overview of all new additions this month.

Brews & Bastards – available now

Brews & Bastards is a twin-stick shooter with an isometric perspective. Players choose from several characters with different abilities and fight through compact arenas filled with enemies. A core gameplay element is brewing and consuming various drinks that temporarily affect stats and playstyle. The levels are procedurally generated and conclude with boss fights.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition – available now

The Enhanced Edition of Little Nightmares offers technical improvements such as higher resolution and smoother frame rates. Content-wise, the game remains unchanged. You control the child Six, who must escape the nightmarish complex known as The Maw. The focus is on stealth, simple puzzles, and atmospheric storytelling without dialogue.

Atomfall – available January 7

Atomfall is a survival action game with an open structure. It is set in a fictional quarantine zone in northwest England following a nuclear accident. Players explore abandoned villages, forests, and military facilities, gather resources, and encounter various factions. Decisions influence the outcome of individual storylines.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die – available January 7

This spin-off of Lost in Random focuses on smaller areas and a more streamlined combat system. Dice mechanics determine attacks, abilities, and random events. The story expands the existing game world with new characters and locations while remaining playable as a standalone experience. The emphasis is on tactical combat and short exploration segments.

Rematch – available January 7

Rematch is a competitive football game played from a third-person perspective. Matches are 5v5 and do not feature traditional rules such as offsides or fouls. Each player controls a single character, putting the focus on positioning and team coordination. Matches are short and designed primarily for online play.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition – available January 7

The Master Crafted Edition of Space Marine includes technical enhancements and all released additional content. Players take on the role of a Space Marine and fight through linear missions against Orks and Chaos forces. Gameplay combines melee combat, firearms, and short exploration sections.

Final Fantasy (Pixel Remaster) – available January 8

The first entry in the Final Fantasy series arrives on Game Pass in a revised 2D version. Alongside newly drawn visuals, the game features adjustments to the user interface, sound, and quality-of-life features. The classic RPG structure with turn-based combat and flexible party composition remains intact.

Star Wars Outlaws – available January 13

Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world action game set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The story follows the outlaw Kay Vess as she takes on missions for various syndicates. Gameplay includes ground exploration, firefights, space combat, and stealth sections.

My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery – available January 15

This adventure is aimed at a younger audience and can be played solo or cooperatively. Various familiar pony characters have their own abilities, which are used to solve tasks and mini-games. The story revolves around mysterious events in Zephyr Heights.

Resident Evil Village – available January 20

Resident Evil Village is the eighth main entry in the survival horror series. The story follows Ethan Winters as he travels to a remote village controlled by various enemies and powerful leaders. The game combines a first-person perspective with resource-limited combat, exploration, and puzzles.

Mio: Memories in Orbit – available January 20

Mio: Memories in Orbit is a hand-drawn Metroidvania with a focus on exploration and platforming. Players control the robot Mio through interconnected areas, unlock new abilities, and open up additional paths. The game world tells its story primarily through environments and brief encounters.
