Although many of the following co-op games can be played solo, they’re often even more enjoyable when explored together. In every game here you can start with one other person or a whole group. We’ve listed how many players each title supports right below the info text.
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter where up to four players take on different missions to bring down your enemies. You can head out with friends or jump online with random players. It’s now even possible to create invite-only lobbies so unknown players cannot join. Helldivers 2 is currently one of the best co-op games around and will definitely keep you entertained. Unlock new weapons, pick suitable armor, and use tactical gear to send your foes to the afterlife.

Fall Guys
The colorful, chaotic fun of Fall Guys will definitely cure boredom. Play solo, online with up to 60 players, or in team mode. Your goal is to overcome a variety of obstacles, support your team, and reach the finish line first. Rounds last only a few minutes and can be created right from the menu.

Split Fiction
As authors Mio and Zoe, one a sci-fi writer and the other a fantasy novelist, you’re pulled into your own stories by a mysterious machine. In this strange situation you must work together as different characters to protect your creative ideas from theft and escape your imagined worlds.
Your journey in Split Fiction takes you through all kinds of scenarios, from dragons to cyber ninjas. As you face challenges together, the unlikely duo forms a special friendship. You’ll fight through magical fantasy landscapes and futuristic sci-fi settings, meeting quirky robo parking attendants and dangerous trolls. In co-op, survival and teamwork are everything.

Dead By Daylight
Even after nine years, Dead by Daylight still doesn’t get old. With the recent “Dungeons & Dragons” DLC there’s now a brand-new map, a killer, and a survivor. In DBD you play as a group of four survivors against one killer. As a survivor, your task is to repair all generators as quickly as possible and power the exit gate. Stay hidden and keep quiet. As the killer, you’ll hear every sound and can use your abilities to stop survivors escaping and sacrifice them to the Entity.

Phasmophobia
Phasmophobia is a cooperative horror game where you track paranormal activity. Equip a flashlight, EMF reader, and other tools to identify which type of ghost is haunting the area. You can choose between different locations and communicate directly via in-game voice. Careful: the ghosts are smart and can hear the smallest noises you make. When a hunt begins, it’s best to hold your breath.
- By the way: Phasmophobia has been available on consoles since late October 2024. Thanks to built-in crossplay, you can still hunt ghosts with friends on PC.
The studio regularly ships updates, improvements, new ghosts, and new locations. With the new lighthouse map, room layouts change shape for the first time, which makes hiding even harder.

Grounded and Grounded 2
In the survival adventure Grounded, you are shrunk to the size of an ant and have to fend off ladybugs, roaches, and other critters. While the first game is set in a family backyard, Grounded 2 takes place in a city park that is even larger. To survive you need to build a base, gear up as fast as possible, and protect your belongings.

It Takes Two
To progress in It Takes Two you need a second player. You play Cody and May, two dolls who could not be more different. Trapped in a giant world, you must solve puzzles and help each other. Only by working as a team can you overcome the challenges and mend your relationship. With Remote Play Together you can invite a friend for free and choose between online or couch co-op.

Borderlands 3
The humorous, over-the-top shooter Borderlands 3 also offers a co-op mode and therefore cannot be left out of a best co-op list. With up to four Vault Hunters you’ll explore the world, upgrade your weapons, and stand up to the insane psychos as well as the Calypso Twins.
Good to know: At the gamescom ONL show, Borderlands 4 was announced with a surprise trailer. If you want to get ready for the upcoming highlight, Borderlands 3 is a great place to start.

Diablo 4
The demoness Lilith seeks to claim dominion over Sanctuary and will stop at nothing. The action RPG Diablo 4 supports both solo play and co-op. If you prefer to tackle the story, dungeons, and boss fights as a team, you can complete main and side missions with up to three other players.

Palworld
In Palworld you can discover, catch, and use more than 100 different Pals as base workers or battle partners. Explore the colorful world, fight Alpha Pals, and start raids for even better rewards. For successful raids, make sure you follow a few tips so you come out on top. You can also play with multiple players and build your bases side by side, fight together, and trade materials and Pals.

Enshrouded
Enshrouded is a survival action RPG where you must save the world from a slowly spreading blight. While searching for food, weapons, and the secrets of the wild, you can experiment with a crafting system and steadily grow stronger. With up to 16 players you can defeat raiders and bosses and keep improving your skills.

Baldur’s Gate 3
A mind flayer parasite grants you unique abilities and forces a choice. Do you fight the parasite or give in to ultimate evil? Choose from twelve classes and eleven races and dive into an adventure full of combat, exploration, and unique loot. In multiplayer you can also combine forces and take on your foes together.

7 Days to Die
In the open-world game 7 Days to Die you find yourself in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead. The game blends shooter, horror, and tower defense elements. With five different biomes and a 100 square kilometer world there are virtually no limits. The crafting system offers over 500 recipes for weapons, armor, vehicles, and much more. In multiplayer you can either found settlements together or destroy other players’ bases.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
As mighty Space Marines you stand on the front line in the fight for the Imperium. Jump into action-packed third-person battles, solo or in a team. In the sequel to the 2011 Space Marine you again take on the role of Lieutenant Demetrian Titus. As a loyal Ultramarines warrior you must fight Tyranid swarms and secure humanity’s survival.
After finishing the tutorial you can unlock co-op mode for up to three players. In the squad menu at the top right you have several ways to play with others:
