Resident Evil Requiem Release: When Does the Game Launch?
Resident Evil 9 launches on February 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. As Capcom has now confirmed, the digital rollout will be staggered by time zone and will vary depending on the platform.
For players in Central Europe, that means: On consoles, you can jump in starting at midnight on February 27. PC players will have to wait a little longer, with the game unlocking at 6 a.m. CET. In North America, however, the launch times on PC and consoles are the same:
- New York: February 27 at 12 p.m. EST
- Los Angeles: February 26 at 9 p.m. PST

When Does the Resident Evil Requiem Preload Start?
The preload for the digital version begins on February 25, 2026, exactly two days before the official release. This gives you plenty of time to complete the full download in advance so you won’t have to stare at a progress bar on launch day. A specific start time for the preload has not yet been announced, but based on past experience, it usually goes live around 48 hours before release.

How Large Is the Resident Evil Requiem Download?
