Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Since release, fans have been wondering how long Capcom’s latest horror outing actually lasts. We’ve already rolled credits and can now give you a clear breakdown of the game’s playtime.

Resident Evil: Requiem Playtime – How Many Hours to Expect

In terms of length, Resident Evil Requiem lands somewhere between Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4:

  • Main Story: Expect around 12 to 16 hours for a standard campaign run. Our first playthrough clocked in at 15 hours. We took our time exploring and experimented extensively during the stealth-heavy segments. That makes Requiem a bit longer than Resident Evil Village (about 10 hours on a first run), but slightly shorter than Resident Evil 4, which took us roughly 18 hours back in the day.
  • 100% Completion: If you’re aiming to uncover every secret, complete all optional content, and thoroughly explore every corner, you’re likely looking at 30 to 40 hours. Multiple playthroughs and a variety of additional challenges are required for full completion.

How It Compares Within the Series

Looking at the playtimes of recent mainline entries gives you a better sense of where Resident Evil Requiem fits in. Resident Evil 2 averaged around nine hours, while Resident Evil 3 was significantly shorter at roughly six. Resident Evil 7 typically ran between nine and ten hours, and Resident Evil Village came in at about ten. By comparison, Resident Evil 4 offered a much more expansive experience at around 16 hours.
