In Life is Strange: Reunion, you practice rewinding time with Moses in the first episode. You’ll need to figure out who killed the swordmaster and also find an object behind a locked door.
In the first section of Life is Strange: Reunion, you meet Moses for a hot cocoa in his office. What starts as a relaxed conversation quickly turns into a small training session for your ability. You use rewinding to solve two tests set by your friend. We’ll guide you step by step through both, so you won’t get stuck on either the swordmaster or the closet puzzle.
First Test – Who Killed the Swordmaster
At the start, Moses tears up a card showing a drawing of a swordmaster. After you rewind time and restore the card, he asks you who killed the swordmaster. The solution is right there in the room, but you’ll need to examine a few clues.
First, go to the poster at the back of the room (the one with the girl on it) to get the first two names. However, these belong to the friends of the person you’re looking for. Next, take a closer look at the schoolgirl figurine above. Rotate it so you can see the bottom of the figure. There, you’ll find the name “Mina Hiramatsu”. That’s the key piece of information.
Now comes the important part. Rewind time completely until you can’t go any further. Sometimes you’ll land at the board with Safi’s newspaper clipping and time will briefly stop. Don’t let that confuse you, just keep rewinding. Once you’re back in front of Moses, talk to him and choose “Mina Hiramatsu” as the correct answer. That completes the first test.
Second Test – Find the Object in the Closet
Right after that, the next task begins. You need to open the locked closet door at the back of the room and hand the object inside to Moses. Start by examining the closet. On the counter, you’ll find a screwdriver that you can pick up. If you try to open the door right away, it will pop open, but a cup will fall out and break.
So take another look around the room. At Moses’ desk, you’ll find a blue cushion on his chair. Pick it up and place it on the floor in front of the closet door. Now open the door again using the screwdriver. This time, the cup lands softly on the cushion and doesn’t break. It will automatically be added to your inventory.
Before you hand the cup to Moses, you need to rewind time once more. Go back far enough until the closet door is intact again. The cup will remain in your inventory. Now you can return to Moses and give him the mug.
