The game is developed by indie studio Gaze in Games, which aims to stand out through its atmosphere and high replay value. Here you will find everything you need to know about gameplay, story, platforms, and system requirements.

What Is Hellmart?

Hellmart puts you in the role of a night shift supervisor in a small 24 hour store somewhere in the snowy north. What looks like a normal work routine during the day turns into a supernatural nightmare at night. The game combines classic supermarket simulator tasks with psychological horror and supernatural threats.

According to the developers, the game is inspired by titles such as Supermarket Simulator, Contraband Police, and CloverPit, but with a much darker twist. The atmosphere of an empty store at night, combined with sudden anomalies and unsettling customers, is designed to create constant tension.

Gameplay: How Daily Life Turns Into a Nightmare

During the day, Hellmart plays like a classic job simulator. You step into the role of a regular supermarket employee, restock shelves, keep an eye on inventory, clean the store, and work the checkout to serve customers.

Order pays off, as dirt scares customers away, while cleaning can even grant bonuses. At the same time, you must reach the daily sales target and remain polite, as rude behavior has consequences. The first person perspective and realistic visuals make each shift feel believable, especially as the environment subtly changes over time.

As soon as night falls, the tone shifts completely and Hellmart becomes a full horror game. Flickering lights, strange noises, and unsettling customers quickly make it clear that something is wrong. At night, you need to keep an eye on the generator, secure the power supply, lock doors, and monitor the security cameras.

On top of that, you gather supplies, upgrade the store, and decide who you allow inside. The rules are unforgiving, as breaking them, such as leaving the store or letting something dangerous in, can cost you your life. What makes this especially tricky is that evil sometimes disguises itself as an ordinary customer. Your attention determines whether you survive the night or not.

Choices and Replay Value

According to Gaze in Games, your decisions throughout the game have a significant impact on the outcome. There are at least three different endings, depending on how you treat customers, whether you follow the rules, and how attentive you are. Every night shift is different, as events and anomalies are procedurally rearranged, ensuring high replay value. You never know exactly what awaits you.

System Requirements

To run Hellmart smoothly, you will need the following setup:
