In Echoes of the End, Ryn is briefly separated from Cor and must find a way across the water to reach him again. Here’s a step-by-step guide to solving the wooden wheel puzzle and what awaits you afterward.
Echoes of the End features several tricky moments that require both brains and timing. One such scene occurs when Ryn and Cor are separated by the collapse of several wooden beams along a wall. Your goal: use a wooden wheel puzzle to cross to the other side and reunite with Cor — but before that, you’ll face climbing sections, water gaps, and a fight against multiple enemies.
- Note: According to early leaks, the ROG Xbox Ally handheld is set to release in October. Since it also supports Steam, Echoes of the End will likely be available for the portable console as well.
Through the Rock Crevice to the Puzzle
After Ryn is separated from Cor, head through a narrow rock crevice on the left. On the other side, you’ll find a puzzle with multiple wooden wheels that will help you cross the water. Look directly to your left to spot a control console on a small rock ledge.
Aligning the Wooden Wheel in Echoes of the End
At the control console, turn the right wheel so that the platform faces toward the mainland. Then, use Ryn’s powers to push the wheel slightly forward. Head back down and jump across the wheel to reach the other side.
- Note: If you want to explore the area, do it before making the jump. Going back is a bit trickier, and even though the distance is the same, you may end up in the water several times.

Mastering the Climbing Sections
On the new side, jump straight onto a climbing wall and move across to the right. Once there, pull yourself up. Shortly afterward, you’ll face another wall to climb. Watch out: there are two water gaps in between — time your jumps to avoid taking damage.
Final Section Before Reuniting with Cor
Head straight until you reach another rock crevice. Once you pass through, Cor will rejoin you. But the joy is short-lived, as several enemies will immediately attack.
- Tip: Use your powers to separate the enemies and maintain control of the fight. Once they’re defeated, you can continue your journey alongside Cor.
