The Winter Ball update for Disney Dreamlight Valley arrives in December 2025, bringing Cinderella as a new character, DreamTeams, adjustments to the Star Path and companion system, as well as numerous bug fixes.
Disney Dreamlight Valley receives the free Winter Ball update on December 10, 2025. According to Gameloft’s patch notes, Cinderella will move into the Valley as a new playable character. To start her first quests, you’ll need to unlock the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella beforehand.
Winter Events and Weekly Puzzles
Cinderella’s arrival brings new friendship quests, an additional hobby, a Valley-wide Friendship Ball and new rewards. To match the holiday season, the Winter Warmth Star Path begins with festive decorations and a cozy baby Pegasus as a companion.
From December 17 to 31, the Gift of Giving event returns with achievements and rewards. Anyone who logs in on December 25 will receive an extra gift, available until December 31. In January, you can look forward to a Winter Floating Festival with weekly puzzles and exclusive rewards.
Improved Co-op Mode
A highlight of the update is the new DreamTeams feature. Once you complete the “Friendship Is Everything” quest, you can join a group with up to seven friends or create your own. You can customize your team’s name, motto and emblem, and trade or request items with other members.
Cherry Blossom Dragon and Animal Companions
Additional improvements affect the Star Path, Scrooge McDuck’s shop, photo mode and the costs for unlocking portals. The abilities of your animal companions have been reworked so they now support you with specific activity types. Using the code COMMUNITYCOMPANIONDRAGON2025, you can also unlock the community-created Cherry Blossom Dragon.
Owners of the Wishblossom Ranch expansion can look forward to more riding experience points and additional stables in the Valley. Lastly, the update fixes over 35 issues that appeared since the previous patch, including quest bugs, missing textures, companion issues and visual glitches.
Plenty of New Content Planned for Disney Dreamlight Valley
According to the current roadmap, Disney Dreamlight Valley will continue to receive additional free updates and paid expansions throughout 2026. In a showcase stream, Gameloft has already revealed first teasers for upcoming characters and worlds.
Early 2026 will see Lady and the Tramp arrive in the Valley, followed by Pocahontas in spring and Hercules in summer. Fans are already speculating about new locations such as Mount Olympus or Pocahontas’ homeland as potential new areas. Which main and side characters ultimately join the game remains to be seen.
