Tenebrum confuses many players in Crimson Desert. We’ll show you how to defeat the boss.

At the end of Chapter 4 in Crimson Desert, you must complete the quest chain “Forbidden Knowledge.” This leads you to the Institute of Scholastein, where you assist the scholar orc Octavius with his experiment. Naturally, things go wrong and you’re thrown into a boss fight.

Tenebrum: How Do I Find the Boss’s Weak Point?

Before the boss fight begins, the game asks you to find Tenebrum’s weak point. To do this, you’re supposed to use the Blinding Flash ability. Aim at the black cloud and reveal the weak point. However, this doesn’t actually help much, since Tenebrum is effectively vulnerable everywhere.

How Can I Defeat Tenebrum?

What the game doesn’t clearly explain is how to deal damage to Tenebrum. The floating shadow constantly moves up and down and stays out of reach of Kliff’s normal attacks.

The solution is simple: jump into the pit beneath Tenebrum and activate your flight ability while in the air. The wind current will carry you upward and keep you airborne.

While airborne, fly toward Tenebrum and attack using Force Palm. Wait until he hovers in the center or charges an attack to land clean hits. A few successful Force Palm strikes are enough to defeat him.

The only challenge is getting close enough without getting hit. If you fall, simply repeat the process. With enough healing items, the fight is manageable once you understand the mechanic.
