In the starting area of Crimson Desert, new gear is rare and easy to miss. The Rabbit Leather Mask is a perfect example: it’s tied to a side quest chain and hidden away from the main path. If you don’t pay close attention, you’ll miss it. To make sure that doesn’t happen, we’ll guide you through all the required steps.
Rabbit Leather Mask Stats
Before you set out, it’s worth taking a look at the stats. The mask offers:
- Defense: 2
- Daze Immunity
- Lightning Resistance: Lv1
- +2 Trust Gain
Daze immunity can be especially useful in certain fights. The added lightning resistance also gives you a small edge against specific enemies. For such a quirky item, the bonuses are actually pretty solid.
Step 1: Enter Bluemont Manor
Your first destination is Bluemont Manor in the southwestern part of the city. Enter the building and head to the first floor.
There, you’ll meet Count Leon Roberts of House Roberts. Without this conversation, the quest chain won’t start, so make sure to talk to him before heading out.
Step 2: Start the Quest Chain “Estate in Dismay”
Accept the five-part quest chain “Estate in Dismay”. In it, you’ll support House Roberts in their fight against the Bleed Bandits.
The mask is tied to your progress in this quest. You’ll need to complete several objectives before reaching the actual location.
Step 3: Clear Karin Quarry
In the third part of the quest chain, you’ll be sent to Karin Quarry. Your task: clear the area of Bleed Bandits and defeat the boss “Marnis Excavatron”.
Only after defeating the boss and securing the quarry will you unlock the next key step.
Step 4: Access the Secret Mine
After clearing the area, you’ll receive a key for the control cabin on top of the massive crane in the quarry. Use it to enter the cabin and gain access to the secret mine by moving the large rock with the crane.
- Note: In this mine, you’ll find, among other things, a part required to unlock the fast travel point at the camp.
Step 5: The Hidden Shaft with the Mask
This is where it gets important.
As you descend into the pit and look around, you’ll spot a second large rock next to the giant boulder, positioned under a smaller crane. It looks unremarkable, but it’s the key to finding the Rabbit Leather Mask.
Here’s what to do: Use the crane to lift the smaller rock. This reveals a hidden shaft underneath. Jump down into it, and you’ll find a hidden treasure chest waiting for you – inside is the Rabbit Leather Mask.
