The “Dragon’s Stone Chamber” holds valuable treasure. Here’s how to solve this optional puzzle in Crimson Desert.
The Dragon’s Stone Chamber is a puzzle that leaves many players scratching their heads in Crimson Desert. To open it and claim the treasure inside, you’ll need to gather clues in the open world, find three murals, and then align three rotating discs inside the chamber with precision. We’ll walk you through the entire process.
Location of the Dragon’s Stone Chamber
The chamber is located in the Hernand Highlands, south of the Howling Hills, where you also establish the Greymane Camp in Chapter 3.
From the camp, head south and keep an eye out for a massive crater. At first, it appears as a large question mark on your map.

The area lies between Thinker’s Meadow, Unicorn Cliff, and Nas River. Inside the crater, you’ll eventually discover a stone door intricately carved into the rock.

- Tip: Use your gliding ability to safely descend into the crater and land on the ledge in front of the entrance.
How to Enter the Dragon’s Stone Chamber
Before you can tackle the puzzle, you’ll need to open the door. Equip your lantern and shine it on the mystical figure next to the entrance. This triggers a vision, which you can view using the Visone helmet.
Stand in front of the door, then press and hold the sprint button (A / X) while pushing forward continuously. It may take a few seconds—don’t let go too early. Once the door gives way, you can enter.

How to Solve the Dragon’s Stone Chamber Puzzle
Inside, you’ll find a large dragon statue and a rectangular pit containing three rotating discs. Each disc features a unique painting and can be turned clockwise or counterclockwise. Your goal is to align each disc at the correct angle.
On the walls to the left and right of the pit, you’ll see two ancient maps with three faded markings. These lead you to three murals in the area around Anvil Hill, which reveal the correct angles for the discs.
- Note: The map inside the chamber is slightly rotated compared to your in-game map. Focus your search north of the river east of Anvil Hill and systematically check the rock faces.
If you’re having trouble deciphering the map, the exact mural locations are shown in the gallery below:
Once you’ve found all three murals and identified their angles, return to the chamber and rotate the discs accordingly.
The correct disc positions are shown in the gallery below:
Once all three discs are aligned correctly, a door beneath the dragon statue will open automatically. You’ll hear a mechanical sound confirming success.
- Bug warning: If the discs stop responding, save your game, fully restart it, and return to the chamber. This usually resets the mechanism.
Rewards in the Dragon’s Stone Chamber
Behind the opened passage, you’ll find:
- Abyss Artifact used to unlock new skills.
- Memory of Abundance: A key item in your inventory. Using it unlocks knowledge entries and reveals multiple hidden caves and locations on the map.
After completing the chamber, take advantage of the newly revealed caves to collect more artifacts and upgrade your abilities faster.
