Focused Force Palm is one of the most important abilities in the first third of Crimson Desert. Without it, you won’t be able to use the important fast travel point in the Grey Mane Camp. Unlike most abilities, you cannot use earned Abyss Artifacts to unlock it. Instead, you need to reach a specific location in the game world and observe a spirit using Focused Force Palm. Requirements to Find Focused Force Palm
Before you can reach the location of Focused Force Palm, you must complete the House Roberts faction questline. During this, you’ll clear several areas of bandits, including the Karin Quarry, where the fragment for the Grey Mane Fast Travel Point (Guide) is hidden, and Fort Perwin southwest of Hernand. The latter blocks the path to the Institute of Scholastein and this exact route leads you to the location of Focused Force Palm.
The fortress, however, is guarded by the boss “The Red Nightmare” and an army of bandits. To fight your way through successfully, you should upgrade Kliff properly. Take a look at our boss guide for the Reeddevil. The recommended stats there should also be sufficient for the Nightmare and his minions.
- Tip for the boss fight: You can only damage the Nightmare if you first hit it four to five times with the normal Force Palm, breaking its posture. Once the yellow bar is full, it will fall to the ground and be completely defenseless for a short time.
Location of Focused Force Palm and Map Marker
Once Fort Perwin has been cleared, you can ride through without obstruction. Stay on the main path heading west until you reach a small passage through a mountain. Behind it, you’ll find the spirit standing in front of a rock wall with shimmering multicolored stone. Observe him to learn the ability. Afterwards, you can break the rock wall using Focused Force Palm.
