Bandai Namco is bringing Code Vein 2 to PC and current-gen consoles as a new action RPG. The game launches at the end of January 2026 and includes early access for players who pre-order. We’ll show you when the preload starts and what kind of hardware you’ll need for this dark adventure.
Code Vein 2 Release: When Does the Game Launch?
Code Vein 2 launches on January 30, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. According to the official Steam page, players who purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition will gain access starting January 27, 2026.
The game puts you in the role of a Revenant Hunter fighting monstrous creatures corrupted by a mysterious force known as Luna Rapacis. You’ll be supported by Lou, a girl with the ability to travel through time and influence past events.
When Does the Code Vein 2 Preload Start?
The preload depends on the edition you’ve chosen and is available on all platforms:
- Deluxe & Ultimate Edition: Preload starts January 25, 2026
- Standard Edition: Preload starts January 28, 2026
If you’ve pre-ordered a digital version, you’ll receive the preload with the latest game version included. Physical copies are expected to require a day-one patch.
On PlayStation 5, the download size is around 59.18 GB. This makes Code Vein 2 significantly larger than its predecessor, which came in at roughly 34 GB.
PC System Requirements
The official system requirements for the PC version have also been revealed. A modern setup is required to play the game at acceptable quality.

Pre-Order Bonuses & Editions
Players who pre-order the game will receive exclusive in-game items:
- Forma Face Paint (cosmetic item)
- Twin Fangs of the Lone Wolf (weapon with special attack)
The Deluxe Edition also includes a costume set, a weapon, and the upcoming DLC “Mask of Idris,” scheduled for January 2027. The Ultimate Edition expands the package with an artbook, the soundtrack, and outfits from the original Code Vein.
