CoD: Black Ops 7 is getting Season 2, along with a wealth of new content for Zombies fans. We have all the details for you.
With Season 2, Activision is noticeably stepping things up in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The new season has been live since early February 2026 and delivers a huge range of fresh content for Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Battle Royale. New maps, new modes, a significantly expanded Ranked system, and major gameplay changes make Season 2 feel like a real reset rather than a routine update.
The focus of the new season is the escalating conflict surrounding The Guild. Alden Dorne goes all in on a final offensive, while Victoria Atwood steps further into the spotlight as a central antagonist. This story development runs clearly through all game modes and ties Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone together more closely than ever before. In the following article, you will find detailed information on Endgame, Multiplayer, and more.
Endgame becomes more dangerous and more rewarding
The Endgame of Black Ops 7 receives its largest expansion yet with Season 2. Guild Strikes can be triggered at any time during a run and transform affected areas on Avalon into so-called Nightmare Zones. Difficulty increases dramatically, standard activities are disabled, and a Strike Boss takes control. Defeating it offers exceptionally valuable rewards, but the risk is high.

Also new is the Eagle Eye skill track, which focuses on precision, critical damage, and weapon handling. Mid-season additions include abilities such as Sentinel Protocol and Blood Burner, offering both tactical support and rapid mobility. Also introduced are Glitches, optional off-map challenges after boss fights that can unlock especially powerful Nightmare skills.
Multiplayer focuses on variety and competition
Season 2 also goes big in Multiplayer. At launch, four new or reworked maps are available: Torment, Sake, Nexus, and the remastered Slums. Additional maps such as Torque, Cliff Town, Mission Peak, and the return of Grind and Firing Range will follow later in the season.

When it comes to modes, Treyarch mixes nostalgia with experimentation. Safeguard and Overdrive return, while limited-time modes such as Luck Confirmed or Solo Hearts Moshpit introduce fresh twists. Gauntlet and Infected will further expand the playlist during the mid-season update.
A key feature is the return of Ranked Play. Matches follow strict CDL rules, including clear loadout restrictions and placement matches. Players who climb the ranks through victories unlock exclusive skins, camos, and blueprints, with the goal of reaching the Top 250.
Zombies grows in scope and depth
The Zombies mode is one of the biggest winners of Season 2. A new survival map called Mars takes players to an ancient temple beneath the surface of the red planet. Here, players experience the climax of the Astra Malorum storyline and fight through especially challenging waves with unique rewards.
Two new modes are also launching. Cursed Survival features a pistol start, reduced HUD, and a classic points system, while Starting Room locks teams into a confined starting area and demands pure endurance. Mid-season, the story continues with the new round-based map Paradox Junction, alongside new GobbleGums and scorestreaks. Multiple Zombies events and leaderboards ensure long-term players always have new goals to chase.
Warzone enters winter mode
In Warzone, the spotlight is on the winter refresh of Rebirth Island. The map is now covered in snow and visibly under Guild control. New points of interest such as the Turbine, altered routes, and clearer sightlines significantly change the familiar gameplay. Footprints in the snow, Dynamic Infil events, a Snowstorm Gas Circle, and new killstreaks add pace and momentum.
Ranked Play Resurgence also introduces a clearly competitive trio-based mode to Warzone. The offering is rounded out with numerous limited-time modes such as Loaded, Rush, or Extreme Resurgence, as well as the Iron Gauntlet Beta. Mid-season will finally introduce a completely new Battle Royale experience on the new Avalon map, deliberately inspired by Blackout from Black Ops 4.
New weapons, Battle Pass, and BlackCell
Across all modes, Season 02 adds seven new weapons, including the REV-46, the EGRT-17, and the H311-SAW. New attachments, weekly challenges, and events focused on universal camos are also included. The new Battle Pass delivers free and premium content, while BlackCell buyers receive additional exclusive skins, blueprints, and the new operator Phantom.
All things considered, Season 02 is more than just additional content. Black Ops 7 and Warzone use this update to deepen existing systems, expand the competitive offering, and tighten the narrative connection. Anyone jumping in now or returning gets one of the most content-rich Call of Duty seasons in years.
