Borderlands 4 Trophies: Quick Overview
- Total: 36 trophies (1x Platinum, 4x Gold, 14x Silver, 17x Bronze)
- Platinum playtime: around 90 to 100 hours (faster in co-op)
- No missable trophies
- Hardest trophy: “Gear Five!” (Reach Ultimate Vault Hunter Level 5)
- No multiplayer trophies required (all can be unlocked solo)
Best Strategy for Platinum
To unlock the Platinum trophy in Borderlands 4 efficiently, follow this strategy:
- Character progression: After finishing the main campaign with one character, you can start a new game at level 30 with another Vault Hunter from the main menu. This way, you only need to level the remaining three characters from 30 to 50.
- Collect legendary gear: Keep all legendary weapons and items. For the “I Earned This” trophy, you’ll need one legendary equipped in all nine gear slots.
- Keep track of world events: Regularly scan the map for the three rotating world events, which only appear in the outer regions. Each event must be completed at least once.
- Tackle challenges early: Pick one challenge category (gear or manufacturer) early on and focus on it during your playthrough to hit 100% completion.
- Work through UVH ranks: For the “Gear Five!” trophy, you’ll need to reach the highest difficulty level. Clear Ultimate Vault Hunter rank challenges methodically and rely on powerful loot to survive tougher enemies.

- 1x Platinum
- 4x Gold
- 14x Silver
- 17x Bronze
Tips for the Hardest Trophies
Gear Five! (Gold)
The toughest trophy requires reaching “Ultimate Vault Hunter” Level 5. These world tiers unlock after completing the main campaign and significantly increase game difficulty:
- UVH Rank 1: +150% enemy health, +12% damage taken
- UVH Rank 2: +200% enemy health, +14% damage taken
- UVH Rank 3: +250% enemy health, +16% damage taken
- UVH Rank 4: +300% enemy health, +18% damage taken
- UVH Rank 5: +350% enemy health, +20% damage taken
To increase your UVH rank, you’ll need to defeat specific world bosses at your current tier, then complete a Wildcard mission for Lilith in “Moxxi’s Bottom’s Up!”.
Catch-A-Ride (Silver)
Unlock all 10 personal vehicles. Six are gained automatically through the story, while the remaining four are awarded when each Vault Hunter (Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe) reaches level 50.
Ruler of Everything (Silver)
Find and complete all 60 activities on the world map. These include Order Silos, Hideouts, Ancient Crawlers, Abandoned Mines, Order Bunkers, and Ripper Drills.
Grassroots Campaigner (Silver)
Finish all 98 side missions. Note that some quests unlock only after completing the main campaign, and many questlines build on each other.
World Events in Borderlands 4
You’ll need to complete three specific world events in the outer regions to earn their trophies:
- Arena Grande (Bronze): Complete the “Goredello” event in the Terminus Expanse.
- Reverse Abduction (Bronze): Complete the “Airship” event in the Wilterlands.
- Shoot the Moon (Bronze): Complete the “Creep Impact” event in Carcadia Wastes.
These events only appear occasionally and are marked with large icons on the map. Keep an eye out and prioritize them when they pop up.
