Two major content packs are coming to the loot shooter Borderlands 4 in the coming weeks. Gearbox has confirmed that Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon will be released on February 26. The first story pack, titled Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, will follow in March.

The story pack introduces a completely new region on the planet Kairos. Players gain access to new story missions as well as the fifth Vault Hunter, C4SH. This marks the first expansion of the playable character roster since the game’s release.

Alongside Bounty Pack 2, a larger update will be released introducing a new rarity tier: Pearlescent gear. These items surpass even legendary weapons and equipment in terms of power. The new rarity tier is available to all players, regardless of which edition they own. However, some Pearlescent items are exclusive to Bounty Pack 2.
