We’ll show you how to unlock the “Cut That Out” trophy in Borderlands 4 and trigger the cardboard cutout theater along western coast.
The “Cut That Out” trophy is one of the rare achievements in Borderlands 4. Luckily, it’s not that hard to get – you just need to know where to look and the right order of steps. Once you’ve escaped from prison and washed up on the shores, you can immediately set out to find this unique Easter egg. As a reward, you’ll get to see a rather bizarre stage performance featuring cardboard versions of Handsome Jack and Dr. Patricia Tannis.
Where to Find the Cutout
You’ll find the location on the western coast. Travel to the small peninsula west of Harper’s Hideaway and north of Sarrett’s Jetty. You’ll recognize the spot by a small lookout hut right by the sea, next to a massive Order turret.
The hut is surrounded by five explosive barrels arranged in a half-circle. Each barrel represents a different element, which you can tell by their colors.
- Fun fact: The “Tannis on a Fish” Easter egg is a running gag that appears in every Borderlands game.
The Correct Barrel Order
To trigger the cardboard theater, you need to shoot the five barrels in the exact order below:
- Corrosive (green)
- Cryo (turquoise)
- Incendiary (red)
- Shock (blue)
- Radiation (yellow)
If you mess up the order, just reload your game and try again.
The Cutout in the Sea
Once you’ve destroyed all the barrels in the correct sequence, a giant cardboard cutout of Handsome Jack will rise from the ocean. The short theater show begins: a cardboard Tannis rides her cardboard fish across the villainous Hyperion CEO and blows him up in a spectacular fireworks display. After she disappears behind a cliff in the distance, you’ll unlock the “Cut That Out” trophy.
