You can now try the multiplayer shooter Battlefield 6 for free for an entire week. We’ve gathered all the details about the Free Trial for you.
Starting today, November 25, 2025 at 1 PM, the Season 1 Free Trial for Battlefield 6 kicks off. Until December 2 at 1 PM, you can play DICE’s multiplayer shooter for free on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
To take part, simply download Battlefield: REDSEC on your platform, which is also free. If you already play or have REDSEC installed, you can jump right in.
The Free Trial grants access to three playlists with five different game modes across three maps. These include the new Season 1 maps Eastwood and Blackwell Fields, as well as Siege of Cairo. Alongside classics like Conquest, Breakthrough, and Team Deathmatch, you’ll also be able to try the new Sabotage mode.
In Sabotage, two teams battle to attack or defend valuable cargo in various areas of the map. The team that destroys the most cargo wins. The mode was only recently introduced with the California Resistance Update.
All your progress from the Free Trial will carry over if you decide to purchase Battlefield 6 after the test period. You can also use your achievements from REDSEC during the trial.
Battlefield 6 recently received a major content update
To coincide with the start of the Free Trial, Update 1.1.2.0 brought plenty of new content and improvements to Battlefield 6 on November 18. Alongside the Sabotage mode and the Eastwood map, the patch also added new weapons like the DB-12 shotgun.
In addition, the developers made numerous adjustments to gunplay, gadgets, vehicles, and the user interface. Many bugs were also fixed to improve the overall experience.
