FACTS

On December 16, 2022, Ubisoft released the extensive Title Update 1.1.7 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The update launches at 2:00 PM UTC on most platforms, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version following one day later at the same time.

One of the main additions is a set of revised finisher animations for the two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. The developers listened to player feedback and added more variety and a more cinematic feel to the combat system. The new animations are designed to make fights end in a more brutal and stylish way.

In addition, players can explore a mysterious new Animus Rift called “Lost and Found.” Inside, players must solve puzzles, traverse the digital world, and help “The Guide” uncover hidden secrets. A new “Project: Defiance” is also unlocked in the Animus menu, allowing players to earn a Bo staff, a talisman, and other rewards.
