With Arc Raiders, Embark Studios introduces a new third-person PvPvE extraction shooter. The game combines gunfights with futuristic technology and a post-apocalyptic setting. When will Arc Raiders be released?
Arc Raiders will launch worldwide on October 30, 2025. There is no early access phase planned, regardless of whether you pre-order or buy a special edition. The exact start time has not been confirmed yet, but the launch is expected between 12 p.m. and 11 p.m. CET. Those who pre-purchase can start the preload a few days in advance.
On which platforms will Arc Raiders be released?
Arc Raiders will be available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Older consoles such as PS4 or Xbox One will not be supported.
Is there crossplay?
Yes, Arc Raiders supports crossplay across all platforms. Console players can disable crossplay in the settings. If you turn off this option, you’ll only play with users on the same platform.
What is Arc Raiders?
In Arc Raiders, you take on the role of a “Raider” fighting your way across the ruined surface of Earth, now controlled by deadly machines known as the ARC. While humanity has retreated to the underground city of Speranza, the Raiders venture to the surface to secure resources, complete quests, and survive.
The game combines PvE elements with PvP threats: besides deadly machines, other Raider players can ambush you and steal your loot. Every run becomes a risky endeavor.
How does the gameplay work?
Arc Raiders’ gameplay is structured around “runs,” where you leave Speranza to explore different mission zones. You’ll traverse four distinct maps with dynamically changing conditions—such as weather effects, new enemies, and rotating mechanics.
Your goal is to secure valuable loot, sell or craft it, and make it back alive. Each successful run rewards you with experience, new gear, and skill points.
Which enemies await you?
The ARC machines are the game’s main threat, ranging from drone swarms to massive killing machines. Each type has unique weaknesses and behavior patterns, requiring tactical decision-making. You’ll also have to stay alert, as combat noise may attract other Raiders who want your loot.
Which gameplay mechanics does Arc Raiders offer?
In the underground base, you can expand your workshop, research blueprints, and craft new gear from collected materials—including weapons, gadgets, and ARC-based equipment. On-the-field repairs are also possible.
A skill tree allows you to customize your character’s playstyle. Three branches are available:
- Survival: faster looting, quieter movement
- Mobility: improved dodge and movement abilities
- Conditioning: increased stamina and resilience
Later in the game, you can also join “Trials” to compete against other Raiders and earn leaderboard rewards.
What weapons and gear are available?
Arc Raiders features a wide range of weapons: from classic SMGs, rifles, and shotguns to advanced railguns and energy weapons. Grenades, traps, ziplines, and deployable gadgets expand your tactical options. Using “Augments,” you can unlock additional slots and bonuses to further customize your loadout.
Which editions of Arc Raiders are available?
At launch, two editions will be available:
Standard Edition
Includes the base game and two cosmetic bundles:
- Lucky Duck Bundle (backpack with rubber duck)
- Bruiser Bundle (boxing gloves and emote)
Deluxe Edition
Includes the base game plus:
- Astro Bundle (cosmetic space suit set)
- Wanderer Set (outfit, backpack, backpack accessories)
- Finger Gun emote
- Cowboy skin for Scrappy
- 2,400 Raider Tokens (in-game currency)
Both editions are available for pre-order. Pre-order bonuses can be claimed until October 30.
What are Raider Tokens?
Raider Tokens are Arc Raiders’ virtual currency. You can use them to unlock cosmetic items, outfits, backpacks, emotes, or special skins. They’re included in the Deluxe Edition or can be purchased separately later.
