With Pragmata, Capcom is launching a new sci-fi action adventure this April. Shortly before release, details about preload and download size have now been revealed. We’ve gathered all confirmed information and tell you how much storage space you should free up on PC and console.
Pragmata release: When does the game launch?

When does the Pragmata preload start?
The preload starts on April 15, 2026, two days before the official release. On PS5, preloading requires a digital pre-order. The download option will become available automatically once the preload window opens.
How large is the Pragmata download?
The focus is clearly on a comparatively compact file size, especially for a AAA title. The following values are confirmed:
PS5: 33.471 GB (Version 01.200.000)
PC (Steam): at least 40 GB of free storage required
Xbox Series X/S: Not yet confirmed, estimated between 35 and 50 GB
For a modern AAA game, this is surprisingly moderate. Many current blockbusters require well over 70 or even 100 GB of storage. For example, Borderlands 4 sets the bar much higher at around 100 GB. Even within Capcom’s portfolio, Pragmata is one of the more compact titles. If preloading isn’t an option for you, you should still be able to download the game on release day without having to wait too long.
Why is the PC version larger?
The fact that the PC version requires at least 40 GB, while the PS5 version comes in at around 33.5 GB, is not unusual. PC versions often include additional or higher-resolution texture packs as well as extra audio files to support a wide range of hardware configurations. This typically results in higher storage requirements without adding extra content.
