The Pocahontas update for Disney Dreamlight Valley arrives in April. Here’s what new content you can expect.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is getting new content: In just a few days, Pocahontas will join the valley as another Disney heroine. The free update launches next week and brings not only a new character, but also fresh story content and an additional region.
Pocahontas release: When does the update launch?
The update launches on April 8, 2026. Developer Gameloft sticks to its usual schedule, as major content updates typically arrive on Wednesdays.
The wind is whispering… Are you ready for what's coming? You may want to check these off first:
🚪Unlock Moana Realm
🌳Unlock the Forest of Valor biome
🧹Tidy your Valley and make space for new friends
✨Complete your Star Path Rewards
For you, that means: If you’re still working on the current Star Path, you don’t have much time left before the next chapter in the valley begins. There are no additional costs either, the update is completely free and will be available on all platforms.
How do you unlock Pocahontas?
To bring Pocahontas to your village, you won’t just open a door in the castle this time. Instead, you’ll follow swirling leaves to a new, mystical island. There, you collect scattered memories, piece them back together, and unlock the new resident.
After completing the questline, Pocahontas moves into Disney Dreamlight Valley with her own house and becomes part of your village as usual, including friendship levels and individual quests.
New story about moon and tides including Meeko
The update isn’t just about a new character. At its core is a fresh story revolving around a mysterious natural phenomenon. The moon and the tides around the valley play an important role, introducing new tasks and additional exploration areas.
This time, Pocahontas doesn’t arrive alone. Raccoon Meeko also makes his debut in the game. The animal companion will be available as a pet and is likely to be a highlight for many of you, especially if you want to expand your companion collection. A first trailer already shows how Pocahontas and Meeko are implemented in the game and how they visually fit into the valley.
