As soon as you run into Safi in Life is Strange: Reunion, you’re faced with a choice: do you tell her about the fire—or keep it to yourself?

In Life is Strange: Reunion, you’ll repeatedly encounter decisions that directly shape how the story unfolds. This time, it revolves around Safi and whether you trust her with the truth about the fire or decide to keep quiet. Both paths come with different consequences and noticeably shift the dynamic between Max and Safi. In this guide, we’ll break down what happens in each scenario and what you can expect moving forward.

The Situation at the Snapping Turtle

You meet Safi outside on the Snapping Turtle’s terrace. What starts as a reunion quickly spirals into a heated argument. Safi makes it clear she sees you as the one responsible for everything that’s happened. She demands answers, pushes for proof, and wants to know what Max and Moses are really up to. The tension is palpable, and you’re forced to make a choice that will have lasting consequences for their relationship.

What Happens If You Tell Safi About the Fire

If you choose to come clean, Safi reacts surprisingly calmly. Instead of panicking or blaming you, she offers a level-headed piece of advice: let the fire happen and stop trying to interfere with people’s lives. It’s a harsh take, but she clearly means it.

However, when you bring up the potential victims, she becomes noticeably guarded. She ends the conversation rather abruptly, saying she hopes you’ll do the right thing. She shows very little emotion, making it difficult to read how she truly feels. Shortly after, her phone rings—her mother Yasmin is calling.

What Happens If You Don’t Tell Safi

The alternative plays out very differently. If you refuse to tell Safi, Max goes on the offensive. She accuses her friend of being far from trustworthy herself—pointing out how Safi deceives everyone, hides behind another identity, and stays away from the friends who miss her.

Safi doesn’t stay quiet, though. She fires back, accusing Max of manipulating realities and deceiving everyone just the same. The argument escalates, and the two part ways on bad terms. The mood hits rock bottom—until, in this version as well, Safi’s phone rings and the scene comes to an end.
