“Toward the Nest” is the grand finale of Chapter 5 in Crimson Desert. In this guide, we’ll show you how to reach the Spire of Soaring.
“Toward the Nest” concludes the “Black and White” questline from Chapter 5 of Crimson Desert. The mission begins in the Demeniss region after you’ve completed the Secret at the Church (Guide). What awaits you is a multi-stage environmental puzzle inside a massive tower. We’ll walk you through it step by step.
Accessing the Tower: How to Find the Right Entrance to The Spire of Soaring
The “Spire of Soaring” tower is located in northern Demeniss. The main entrance is locked, so you’ll have to climb. Make your way up using the protruding platforms until you reach a circular window. Inside, you’ll find a wind shaft system.
Important: Do not destroy the two blue orbs on the walls. Instead, jump into the center and activate your glide. The wind will automatically carry you upward. At the very top, you’ll land on a platform, where the first energy puzzle begins.
Solving the Tower’s Energy Puzzles
Inside the tower, you’ll need to redirect power lines using wall panels. The core mechanic is the same for every puzzle: Use your sword’s light reflection (Blinding Flash: L1+R1 / LB+RB) or the lamp (L1/LB) to reveal the energy lines. Then use the Axiom Force (R3) to grab the panels and rotate them with the right stick. The goal is always to create a continuous connection from left to right.
First Puzzle: Four Wall Panels
The first puzzle gives you four wall panels. Start systematically from the bottom left and work your way to the right. Once all connections are aligned correctly, a platform will rise and carry you to the next level. The image below shows the correct panel positions.
Second Puzzle: Large Rotating Disc
The second puzzle features a large circular panel that you’ll need to rotate multiple times until the lines connect on the left, bottom, and right. A clicking sound confirms the correct alignment, and the platform will automatically lift you further upward.

You’ve now activated the elevator. If you don’t make it onto the platform in time, use your glide ability to ride the wind upward. At the top, a massive platform begins moving, slowly carrying you toward the Abyss—where you’ll need to solve the Skybridge puzzle (Guide).
