Four hidden supply crates, one key, and plenty of zombies: With our guide, you’ll find every BSAA container in East Raccoon City and won’t miss a single reward.
During Leon’s chapter in the devastated Raccoon City of Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll come across several military-grade BSAA supply containers placed at key points throughout the city. These blue metal crates are packed with useful gear. Open all four, and you’ll unlock a trophy plus earn Ability Points for future playthroughs.
- Important: Once you blow up the gate with the bomb, you won’t be able to return to these areas. Make sure you’ve opened every container before reaching this story point.
How to Get the BSAA Container Key
You’ll receive the key for all containers automatically as part of the story — it’s impossible to miss. Here’s how it plays out:
- Pick up the Cedarbrook Apartments Key from the roof of the Warehouse after collecting the distributor.
- Use it to unlock the front door of the Cedarbrook Apartments and enter the underground parking garage.
- Find two batteries and insert them into the switch to open the large metal gate.
- Head outside to the street. You’ll encounter a group of fallen BSAA soldiers — a cutscene triggers automatically.
- After the cutscene, the BSAA Container Key is added directly to your inventory.
Container #1: Right Next to the Fallen Soldiers
This container sits right beside the BSAA bodies where you just obtained the key. It’s already open when you arrive and can be looted immediately. The contents are modest: a Med Injector and various consumables. Still, it’s worth grabbing everything before moving on.
Container #2: Central Camp – The Only Mandatory Container
This container is located in the middle of the Central Camp, right next to the large tent. It’s the only one of the four that you must open to progress the story. Inside you’ll find:
- Repair Kit – required to fix the broken signal receiver, which is part of the detonator
- Motorcycle – your ride out of East Raccoon City at the end of the chapter
Open this container as soon as you get the key so the Repair Kit is in your inventory when you need it.

Container #3: Gas Station
This container is located on the highway east of the gas station, hidden between stacked car wrecks. Here’s how to reach it:
- From the Central Camp, head east along the main road, past the gas station.
- You’ll reach an area with dozens of vehicles piled on top of each other.
- Look for a ladder leading up to the car roofs, climb up, and drop down on the other side.
Watch out: As soon as you open the container, several zombies will ambush you. There’s an explosive barrel nearby — use it to save ammo.

Your reward: the Marksman 1A sniper rifle and matching ammo. The rifle is semi-automatic, fires significantly faster than a traditional bolt-action rifle, and doesn’t require manual rechambering after every shot — especially useful when facing multiple enemies at once.

Container #4: Applegate Hotel – The Longest Detour
This container is located directly in front of the Applegate Hotel, which you’ll recognize from the start of the East Raccoon City chapter. Reaching it takes the most effort and involves several steps:
- Get the fuel tank: Head to the gas station. A tough fight against numerous zombies — including a chainsaw-wielding one — awaits. Afterward, activate the pump at the large tank and fill the gas can.
- Activate the generator: Bring the filled fuel tank to the generator near the large crane on the western side of the main road. Pour in the fuel — a gate will open.
- Through the tunnels: Climb down a ladder near the construction site into the sewers and follow the Ridgewood Station subway tunnels. The path is linear, but you’ll encounter several zombies. At the exit, you’ll end up right in front of the Applegate Hotel.
- Clear the area: Four to five zombies will attack as you approach the container. Take them out, then open the crate.

Inside, you’ll find the BSAA Talisman, which boosts the power of sniper rifles — but only if you don’t have a scope equipped. Pair it with the Marksman 1A from Container #3 for maximum impact. You’ll also receive a legendary Tracking Module worth 8,600 Credits.
