With Season 1, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 officially kicks off and delivers a massive amount of new content for Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. We’ve summarized all details on the new maps, modes, weapons, events, and rewards for you.
Release: When Does Season 1 Start?
Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 begins on December 4, 2025 at 6 p.m. CET on all platforms. The new Endgame feature was already activated on November 21. Alongside new weapons and maps, Zombies and Warzone also receive major updates.
Endgame Mode: New Events, Skills, and Rewards
The co-op mode “Endgame” is now instantly available for all players. Fight your way across the open Avalon map, complete events, earn rewards, and increase your Combat Rating. The more you master, the better your loot – including exclusive weapon camos and XP.
New World Events
A total of four major events challenge you with multi-phase boss fights:
- Colossus of Avalon: A massive mech falls from the sky and must be defeated by targeting its core. Fail to destroy it in time, and it takes off again.
- Toxic Tyrant (In-Season): Stop a neurotoxin catastrophe while battling hallucination-inducing enemies.
- Wraith Wing (Mid-Season): A VTOL aircraft with cloning capabilities attacks – including aerial combat.
- A fourth event awaits you at Mid-Season.
New Exotic Skills and Phantom Abilities
World events grant you one of eight randomized “Exotic Skills,” which you can upgrade or replace. These include:
- Mega Punch (powerful melee attack)
- Resurrection (become immortal once per match)
- Frost Cloud, Echo Shell, Graviton Reaction, and more
Starting in Mid-Season, the new “Phantom” skill tree introduces a specialization focused on stealth, crit damage, and reduced detectability.
CODMAS Event
During the holiday season, Avalon transforms into a winter wonderland. You can throw snowballs, loot gift crates, and complete special challenges.
Multiplayer: New Maps, Modes, and Scorestreaks
Season 1 launches with six new maps – including brand-new locations like “Utopia” and “Fate” as well as remakes such as “Standoff.” More maps follow at Mid-Season.
New and Returning Modes
At launch, you’ll find classic party modes such as:
- Prop Hunt
- One in the Chamber
- Sticks & Stones
- Gun Game
- Sharpshooter
New is the mode “Takeover” (Mid-Season), in which you must control three rotating zones. Holiday-themed events like “Holiday Havoc” and “Snowfight” also await you.
New Scorestreaks
As rewards for challenges, you can unlock scorestreaks including:
- Deadeye Drone – a sniper drone with an optional grenade module
- Mid-Season: Returning Black Ops 6 classics such as “War Machine,” “SAM Turret,” “Strategic Bomber,” and more
Zombies: New Map Astra Malorum and the O.S.C.A.R. Boss
The new round-based Zombies map “Astra Malorum” takes place in an ancient observatory orbiting Saturn. There you face the new elite enemy O.S.C.A.R., a robot equipped with deadly abilities like drone shields, Tesla fields, and hologram traps.
New Wonder Weapon: LGM-1
This futuristic weapon fires small flying saucers that pursue enemies and attack them with lasers. The discs return to the weapon afterwards — ideal for crowd control.
New Game Modes and Challenges
- Exit 115 Survival: Survive in a confined area with rewards starting at round 10
- Cursed Mode: Hardcore variant with limited HUD
- Directed Mode: Story guidance for beginners
- Holiday Mode “Jingle Hells”: Snowballs, gifts, and frost effects

Warzone: New Haven’s Hollow Map & Gameplay Update
With the Black Ops 7 integration, Warzone receives a major update. Alongside new weapons and operators, you’ll find new POIs and map changes.
Haven’s Hollow: New Resurgence Map
In the Appalachian region, you’ll encounter a nostalgic location featuring the following hotspots:
- Mansion – known from Zombies
- Main Street – featuring a bowling alley and comic shop
- Riverboat – a three-deck ship loaded with loot
- Train Station, Barn, Coal Depot, and more
New POIs in Verdansk
- Signal Station – with interactable elements granting info bonuses
- Factory – return of the industrial location from Verdansk ’84
New Equipment and Perks
- Psych Grenade – induces hallucinations
- Needle Drone – remote-controlled mini explosion
- Echo Unit – a highly convincing hologram decoy
Perks have been restructured and now include options such as “Sprinter,” “Adaptive,” and “Mountaineer.”
New Weapons and Battle Pass
A total of seven new weapons await you in Season 1:
- Kogot-7 (SMG)
- Maddox RFB (Assault Rifle)
- Sokol 545 (LMG)
- NX Ravager (Crossbow)
- Sturmwolf 45 (SMG)
- Hawker HX (Sniper Rifle)
- Ballistic Knife (Melee, unlocked via challenges)
