Battlefield 6 Patch Adds Sabotage Mode, New Map, and Fresh Weapons

Battlefield 6 receives a new mode, new weapons, and a long list of optimizations with Update 1.1.2.0. We’ve summarized everything you need to know about the major patch.

Update 1.1.2.0 for Battlefield 6 launches on November 18 at 09:00 UTC. It delivers a wide range of improvements to player responsiveness, target tracking, animations, and overall stability.

Among the new additions is the limited-time mode “Sabotage,” centered around destruction and countermeasures. The new map “Eastwood,” inspired by Southern California suburbs, is available in all official modes. In Conquest, the map also features tanks, helicopters, and the fan-favorite golf cart.

The DB-12 shotgun and the M357 Trait sidearm have also been added. Gauntlet mode gets a new mission type called “Rodeo,” focused on multiple vehicles. In Portal, creators can now start their builds on the Sandbox map.

Aim Assist has been reverted to its Open Beta settings to ensure more consistent behavior. Weapon accuracy and spread have been rebalanced to correct drift rates and improve precision.

Several gadgets—such as the portable LWCMS mortar, the LTLM II laser designator, and the supply crate system—have been updated. Vehicles, weapons, and the user interface also received numerous fixes and improvements.

CONTEXT

Battlefield 6 kicks off Season 1 with a wave of new content

With the latest entry, EA is doubling down on a live-service approach for Battlefield, rolling out monthly content updates. Season One is divided into three phases, each dropping new content roughly every three weeks:

  • Rogue Ops launched on October 28 with the Blackwell Fields map, the 4v4 mode Strikepoint, and new weapons.
  • California Resistance arrives on November 18 with the suburban Eastwood map, the 8v8 Sabotage mode, and the return of powerful Battle Pickup weapons.
  • Winter Offensive wraps up on December 9 with a frosty event on a revamped version of the Empire State map.

The exact start date for Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. Based on the current timeline, it’s likely to begin no earlier than mid-January 2026.
