Strengthen Your Wolf Bond – Why It Matters
Wolf Dens are optional mini-missions that all follow the same pattern: you discover a corpse in the wilderness, and shortly after, a wolf appears and leads you to a camp where bandits are holding other wolves captive. Defeat the enemies, free the wolves, and your bond grows stronger.
Each successful rescue rewards you with a new ability point for your wolf companion. This increases her strength, duration in battle, or unlocks special abilities. After completing four Wolf Dens, you also unlock the Song of the Wolf, which helps locate more dens and later allows you to actively summon your companion.
- Note: Finding all locations unlocks the coveted “Wolves of Ezo” trophy.
Wolf Dens in the Yotei Grasslands
The first two dens in the Yotei Grasslands are located relatively close to each other. They are perfect to learn the mechanics.
- Green Hill Wolf Den – south of Lake Shikotsu on a slightly elevated hill.
- Great Mountain Wolf Den – west of the Nupur River, near a small forest path.

Wolf Dens in the Ishikari Plain
The Ishikari Plain hosts two dens and thus two enemy camps, which are already a bit more guarded. Bring enough healing items.
- Dying Fire Wolf Den – near the Nakagoya Spring, between burned camp remains.
- Old Wound Wolf Den – west of the Rumoi River, on a clearing with fallen trees.

Wolf Dens in the Tokachi Range
In the mountains the environment becomes rougher and more challenging to traverse.
- Hunter’s Watch Wolf Den – deep south of the Ohara Plain, next to an old watchtower.
- Howling Fields Wolf Den – south of the Boar’s Eye Cave, on a windswept plateau.

Wolf Dens in the Nayoro Wilds
This smaller area contains only one Wolf Den.
- White Scars Wolf Den – north of the Kankan River.

Wolf Dens in the Teshio Ridge
The two Wolf Dens in the Teshio Ridge are located in a cold and harsh region that requires good navigation skills.
- Cold Lake Wolf Den – east of Lake Sarobetsu, hidden behind a rocky cliff.
- Biting Wind Wolf Den – north of Guardian’s Forest, near an abandoned hunting cabin.
Be cautious of patrols here – some bandit groups are heavily armed.

Wolf Dens on the Oshima Coast
The last Wolf Den can be found on the western coast in the far south.
- Waterfall Wolf Den – north of Shojin Hill, right next to a cascading waterfall.
Once you complete this final rescue, you’ll have finished all ten Wolf Dens and fully strengthened your bond with the she-wolf.
