After finishing Silent Hill f once, you’ll unlock New Game Plus (NG+). This mode is aimed at players who want to uncover more of the story, unlock new endings, and take on extra challenges. In this guide, we’ll show you what NG+ offers and how to make the most of it.

What carries over in Silent Hill f New Game Plus?

When starting NG+, certain progress from your first run carries over, including:

  • Faith (upgrade points): Your upgrade currency is preserved, letting you unlock new skills and improvements right away.
  • Status upgrades: Boosts to health, stamina, and sanity carry over.
  • Collected Omamori: All previously found Omamori are still available, so you can immediately re-equip your passive skills.
  • Key items: Inventory expansions and Ema remain. Story-critical keys, like the Stone Key or Stone Orb, must be found again.
  • Non-puzzle documents & journal entries: Read texts and notes remain stored in your archive.

These carryovers make the NG+ start much smoother and give you more tactical freedom from the beginning.

What changes in Silent Hill f’s NG+ gameplay?

NG+ isn’t just a repeat of your first run. It introduces key changes that deepen the experience:

  • Higher upgrade caps: Hinako’s stats can be pushed further than in the first run, including health, stamina, sanity, and Omamori slots.
  • Increased difficulty: Enemies hit harder and puzzles get tougher. For an even bigger challenge, you can activate the “Lost in the Fog” mode.
  • New areas: NG+ opens locations you couldn’t access in your first playthrough.
  • Altered boss fights: Some encounters are tweaked, requiring new strategies.
  • Extra cutscenes: Added cinematics flesh out more story and character details.
  • More collectibles: NG+ includes new notes and documents, some of which are required for Silent Hill f trophies.

These changes make NG+ feel like an expanded experience—adding both challenge and depth.

To see every ending, you’ll need to:

  • Complete multiple playthroughs
  • Make different choices
  • Meet certain conditions that only appear in NG+

Switching up your playstyle, dialogue options, and loadouts is key to finding new paths. On your second and third runs, pay close attention to fresh interaction prompts and optional events—many of them are critical to unlocking alternate endings.

Is New Game Plus worth it?

Silent Hill f’s New Game Plus is absolutely worth it. You’ll discover content that wasn’t accessible before, experiment with different builds thanks to higher stat caps, and experience added story context. NG+ is also the only way to unlock every ending. With the tougher difficulty, even veteran players will find new challenges. If you want the full Silent Hill f experience, New Game Plus is a must.
