Silent Hill f features a total of five endings you can unlock. We’ll guide you step by step on how to achieve each one.
Silent Hill f breathes new life into the horror franchise while staying true to the series’ multi-ending concept. There are five different endings in total, unlocked depending on your choices and playstyle. To make sure you don’t miss any, we’ve compiled all requirements – plus tips on how to handle the hidden paths.
- Spoiler Warning: From here on, we go into detail! If you want to experience Silent Hill f completely spoiler-free, it’s best to wait until after your first playthrough before reading on. We’ve kept spoilers to a minimum and focus mainly on the steps and choices you need to make – less on the story progression itself.
Ending 1: Coming Home to Roost – The Standard Finale
This is the ending everyone will see. Simply play through the main story all the way to the end – regardless of difficulty level or choices made.
Once finished, you’ll automatically unlock the achievement “Coming Home to Roost”. This is the base ending on which the other story paths build.

Ending 2: Fox Wedding
To reach the second ending, make sure to follow these steps:
- Do not take the red blood capsules
- Do not obtain or purify the Sacred Sword
- Find the Agura no Hotei-sama
- Reward: Achievement “Fox’s Wedding.”
Ending 3: The Fox Wets Its Tail
The conditions differ slightly from the “Fox Wedding” ending:
- Do not take the red capsules
- Obtain the Sacred Sword in its unpurified state
This path leads to a darker finale.
- Reward: Achievement “The Fox Wets Its Tail”
Ending 4: Ebisugaoka in Silence
This is considered the “true hardcore finale” and requires more preparation.
You’ll need to meet the following conditions:
- Complete two different endings beforehand (the UFO ending does not count)
- Do not take the red capsules
- Purify the Sacred Sword
- Offer the brooch as a sacrifice
- Completing this route unlocks the “Ebisugaoka in Silence” achievement and one of the most significant endings.
Ending 5: The Great Invasion from Space! – The UFO Ending
This ending is, as usual, more of an Easter egg than true horror. Still, it’s not easy to unlock. You’ll need to start a New Game+ and complete the following steps:
- Listen to all UFO radio broadcasts
- Find all three “Great Invasion from Space” movie posters in the correct order
- Then read the movie review of the invasion
Important Tips for Your Playthrough
It’s recommended to create separate save files before every major decision, giving you the flexibility to revisit key points. However, some endings can only be unlocked through additional playthroughs, since certain choices and items are only available in New Game+.
If you want to see everything, plan enough time:
- First playthrough: around 12–14 hours
- Additional runs: depending on focus, 3–8 hours each
