In Act Two of Hell is Us, you set out to find Terror, which takes you to the village of Marastan. There, you’ll reach a cemetery where six stone eagles stand among the graves. You can rotate them clockwise or counterclockwise. We’ll explain what to do with them and how to open the Tomb of the Blood Queen in this mini-guide.

Solving the Stone Eagle Puzzle in Marastan

When you arrive at the cemetery and spot the stone eagles, you won’t be able to do much just yet. Instead, head deeper into the village center and past the marketplace. Down the street, you’ll hear a man calling for help. Talk to Talis and take out the Hollow Walkers in front of the church. In return, he’ll hand you a key that unlocks the southwestern gate and gives you access to the tunnels beneath Marastan.

Keep left and go straight through the first cave. Take the ladder and you’ll find yourself inside the head of a massive statue. Through its eyes you’ll catch a glimpse of the Tomb of the Blood Queen in the forest—your destination later on. Scan the mural opposite with your drone, and you’ll read the following:

“Buried beneath the eagles lies the means to reach the queen. If you face east toward the Six, you will uncover her secrets.”

Head back to the cemetery and use your compass to align all six statues to the east. Once the last eagle is correctly positioned, you’ll hear a rumble, and a stone gate opens in the center of the cemetery, revealing an underground mausoleum.

Finding the Fragments

From the main hall, go through the door on the right, follow the corridor, and take the first passage on the right to find the first tablet fragment – beveled. Go back to the corridor and take the second passage on the right to pick up the second tablet fragment – rectangular. Return to the main hall and head through the southern door. At the end of the corridor you’ll find a chest with the tablet fragment – angled.

Finding and Opening the Tomb of the Blood Queen

From the mausoleum staircase checkpoint, head back to the APC. In front of the vehicle, follow the path marked “Hanging Coffins – Touristic Site” across the bridge. At the fork with the lantern, go northeast and stay on course. You’ll pass a discarded fridge next to a rock wall with graffiti. Keep heading east until you reach a checkpoint and a massive stone gate.

In front of the gate is a stone platform with three slots. Place the tablet fragments as follows:

  • left: tablet fragment – angled
  • top right: tablet fragment – rectangular
  • bottom right: tablet fragment – beveled

This activates a mechanism that raises four stone pillars from the ground. Each pillar is engraved with four symbols. Look back at the platform where you placed the fragments—you’ll see the same four symbols there. Rotate the pillars so that each symbol matches its counterpart on the platform.

The stone gate opens, and inside the tomb you’ll first need to clear out a horde of Hollow Walkers. In front of the sarcophagus you’ll find a mechanism where you must align the correct four symbols. The solution is hinted at in the murals—or you can just peek here:

The sarcophagus opens, revealing the Sword of the Blood Queen and the scroll – Eulogy to the Queen, which sends you to the Arcas Tower summit in the Senedra forest. Return to the APC and speak with Tania to continue.
