On September 2, players dive into Helldivers 2 – Into the Unjust. Shortly after, the Premium Warbond “Dust Devils” launches with new weapons and gear. Here’s everything you need to know.
The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Helldivers 2 – Into the Unjust will release on September 2. Players will be able to push deeper into unknown territory and uncover what lies behind the Shroud of Darkness that cloaks the so-called Swarmworlds.
According to developer Arrowhead Game Studios, players can expect new threats such as massive Terminid structures and horrors lurking beneath the planet surfaces. Deep underground, you’ll encounter a labyrinth of cave tunnels infested with the Sporelung, seemingly the force generating the increasingly dense Shroud of Darkness.
The Darkness has also given rise to new underground Terminid species like burrowing Warriors, Acid Spewers, and Chargers that ambush prey from beneath the surface. More grotesque mutations such as the Dragonroach, which rains down burning acid, also stalk the Swarmworlds.
To reclaim the Swarmworlds, Helldivers must face brand-new objectives such as escorting a mobile oil platform and destroying the underground Sporelung. Determination and teamwork will be key to stopping the infestation from spreading.
New Warbond “Dust Devils”
Shortly after release, on September 4, the Premium Warbond “Dust Devils” will become available. It introduces a powerful lineup of primary weapons including the AR-2 Coyote assault rifle that fires incendiary rounds, the G-7 Pineapple fragmentation grenade, and the S-11 Harpoon that unleashes heavy projectiles.
New stratagems like the single-use EAT-700 rocket launcher that rains napalm cluster bombs and the portable MS-11 missile silo are also included. In addition, the DS-42 Federation Blade and DS-191 Scorpion armor sets grant passive resistance to fire, gas, acid, and arc damage, plus increased throwing range.
Halo: ODST Crossover Content in Legendary Warbond
Alongside the Premium Warbond “Dust Devils”, a Legendary Warbond inspired by Halo: ODST will release on August 26. It features weapons like the MA5C assault rifle and the silenced M6C/SOCOM pistol, plus ODST armor sets with the passive booster “Feet First Into Hell”, which quiets movement and increases detection range for points of interest.
The Legendary Warbond is rounded out with ODST player card designs, a new player title, and skins for vehicles and the Hellpod. It will cost 1,500 Super Credits.
Since its original launch in February 2024, the co-op third-person shooter Helldivers 2, where players fight for Super Earth’s managed democracy against alien threats, has received multiple major content updates. Its Warbond system, similar to a battle pass, regularly introduces new cosmetic and gameplay-relevant content.
