During The Lunar Game, The Blood of Dawnwalker confronts you with the “Odd Riddle” and three possible choices. Here’s which one you need to pick and what the clue actually means.
During The Lunar Game at Lunar Manor in The Blood of Dawnwalker, Coen has to deal with more than just dangerous opponents. At one point, a locked gate blocks your path. Nearby, you’ll find a mechanism with three openings as well as a note titled “Odd Riddle.” Only one of the three choices lets you continue safely.
Odd Riddle at Lunar Manor: Which Choice Is Correct?
The riddle gives you three clues: silver on the right, summer light in the middle, and blood and horror on the left.
The correct answer is: Choose the left opening.
When the dialogue choice appears, select the option that corresponds to the left one. Coen will activate the correct mechanism, the gate will open, and you can continue through Lunar Manor without triggering the trap. If you choose the middle or right opening, you’ll activate a trap instead.
Why Is the Left Opening the Correct Answer?
The riddle is deliberately designed to mislead you. The silver shimmer on the right and the pleasant summer light in the middle sound much more inviting than the promise of blood and horror on the left. Under normal circumstances, most people would probably avoid the left option.
But this is The Lunar Game, and the entire event follows the rather twisted logic of its vampiric hosts. What sounds like a warning to a human is exactly the kind of thing that should point you toward the correct choice here. So if you’re standing in front of the Odd Riddle at Lunar Manor, don’t overthink it: Pick the left opening.
