With The Blood of Dawnwalker, Rebel Wolves is launching an entirely new RPG IP on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 3, 2026. Publisher Bandai Namco is offering four editions in total, ranging from the digital Standard Edition to a limited collector’s box. If you’re thinking about preordering, here’s what you need to know about the differences.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Standard Edition: $70 Game With a Preorder Bonus
The Standard Edition of The Blood of Dawnwalker includes the full base game and is available digitally only. It costs $69.99 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Preorders also include the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set. However, you’ll be able to unlock the armor normally in the game later on even if you don’t preorder. In other words, you won’t miss out on anything exclusive if you wait until after launch to buy the game.
Day 1 Edition: The Best Value for Money
The Day 1 Edition is the physical launch version and carries the same $69.99 MSRP as the digital Standard Edition. But you get considerably more in the box: Along with the game on disc, it includes a SteelBook and a physical world map. The preorder bonus is included as well.
That makes the Day 1 Edition easily the most appealing option for anyone who prefers physical copies. You don’t pay a cent more, yet you still get two worthwhile extras. In the UK, some retailers are already offering preorders below MSRP. In Europe, the Day 1 Edition is available at retail for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and, in some markets, PC.
Eclipse Edition: A Lore Bundle for Fans
For $79.99, you can get the Eclipse Edition. Along with the base game, it includes three digital extras: a World Compendium featuring background information on the game world, a digital comic, and the official soundtrack. The preorder bonus is identical to the one included with the Standard and Day 1 Editions.
There’s no gameplay-related DLC here, such as additional quests, weapons, or story expansions. The extra $10 goes entirely toward digital bonus content. If you’re interested in the world and its lore, however, there’s some real value here.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Collector’s Edition: An Impressive Package for Collectors
The limited Collector’s Edition comes in at $199.99, but it’s also remarkably generous for the price. Along with the game and all the digital content from the Eclipse Edition, the box includes several premium physical extras: a 9-inch Coen statue by PureArts made from ABS/PVC, a 60-page hardcover World Compendium (approx. 9.4 × 8.3 inches, English only), a SteelBook, a textured 13 × 15.7-inch world map, and the Collector’s Box itself.
If you order directly from the Bandai Namco Store, you’ll also receive a double-sided gold-foil bookmark and a set of three gold-foil stickers as store-exclusive preorder bonuses. The PS5 and Xbox versions include a disc, while the PC edition comes with a digital download code instead.

Which Edition Is Worth It?
The choice is refreshingly simple because none of the editions offer any gameplay advantages over the others. There are no exclusive quests, additional weapons, or story DLC locked behind a higher price. The preorder armor set is simply an early-access bonus that you’ll also be able to unlock normally later on.
If all you want is the game itself, the Standard Edition is all you need. Better yet, if you prefer physical copies, go with the Day 1 Edition – same price, more content. Getting a SteelBook and world map at no additional cost makes it an easy recommendation.
The Eclipse Edition is only worth considering if you specifically want the soundtrack, comic, and digital compendium. Whether purely digital bonus content is worth an extra $10 is something you’ll have to decide for yourself.
The Collector’s Edition is clearly aimed at dedicated fans and collectors. It doesn’t add anything in terms of gameplay, but it does offer a substantial and cohesive physical package featuring a statue, hardcover book, and large-format map. At $200, that’s a fair price for a limited collector’s edition.
