In Chapter 4, “Clara Woods,” of Silent Hill: Townfall, one number code follows another. You need to find three Mechanical Parts, solve the puzzles in South Brae, North Brae, and Upper Brae, and open several CEG lockers. My walkthrough shows you all the codes, locations, and puzzle answers.
The “Missing Parts” section takes you all across Clara Woods. Your first major stop is the CEG Employee Lockers: Using the barcodes found in the surrounding houses, you can determine the numbers and PINs for the corresponding lockers. This is where the walkthrough begins.
- Chapter 4, “Clara Woods,” consists of the sections Begin Again, Missing Parts, and Inside CEG HQ. You can find the complete Silent Hill: Townfall chapter overview here.
What Chapter 4 “Clara Woods” Is About: Find Three Mechanical Parts
Your objective in this chapter: To open the Strange Gate on Atlas Way, you need the three Mechanical Parts from CEG Lockers 17, 204, and 94. To get them, you have to visit three houses in Clara Woods and solve the puzzles inside. Once you have all three parts, combine them and insert the resulting Constructed Mechanical Device into the Strange Gate to open it.
All Codes in Chapter 4 “Clara Woods” at a Glance
Important: You can’t simply enter the codes for the three relevant employee lockers right away. First, you need to find the corresponding barcode in South Brae, North Brae, or Upper Brae and scan it at the scanner at the CEG reception desk (see the walkthrough below).
| Lock / Puzzle | Code / Answer |
|---|---|
| CEG Locker 75 | 184 |
| Lost and Found Locker | 772 |
| Locked box at 5 South Brae | 956 |
| CEG Locker 17 | 575 |
| Locked box at 6 North Brae | 736 |
| CEG Locker 204 | 971 |
| Locked box at 5 Upper Brae | 129 |
| CEG Locker 94 | 490 |
Reach the CEG Employee Lockers
Your first destination in Clara Woods is the CEG Employee Lockers. From Atlas Square, take Atlas Way, turn left onto Prosperity Way, and then left again into CEG Staff Parking. From there, enter the building complex through the automatic glass door (watch out: monsters!) and cross the courtyard to reach the lockers.

Open CEG Locker 75: Code 184
At the CEG reception desk, pick up Barcode (CEG Lockers) – Locker 75 next to the scanner and scan it. The device shows you the combination for CEG Locker 75: 184. Open the locker. Inside, you’ll find the Flare Gun.
Open the Lost and Found Locker: Code 772
The Lost and Found Locker is located in the office near the CEG Employee Lockers. The code is 772. You’ll find the clue on the computer at the front of the reception area. Open the Lost and Found Locker and take the South Brae House Key.
5 South Brae: Solve the Floppy Disk Puzzle
Head to 5 South Brae. You can reach the house via the stairs at Atlas Square.
- Quick walkthrough: Get the “Fix-A-Disk!” Software from Atlas Computers, repair Floppy Disk (2 of 3), and load Floppy Disks 1 through 3 on the computer. Then print MANUAL.EML. Part ID 956 opens the locked box and gives you Barcode (South Brae) – Locker 17.

Upstairs, you’ll find several items, including:
- a flyer from Atlas Computers
- a disk case
- a locked box
- a computer with a floppy disk drive
In the bedroom, you’ll find the Disk Case Key. Use it to open the case. When you insert the floppy disks into the computer, you’ll discover that Floppy Disk (2 of 3) is damaged and can’t be used yet.
Find “Fix-A-Disk!” Software at Atlas Computers and Open the Locked Box
Leave 5 South Brae and head to Atlas Computers. Open the disk case there and take the “Fix-A-Disk!” Software. Then return to 5 South Brae.

Run “Fix-A-Disk!” on the computer and use it to repair Floppy Disk (2 of 3). Then load and unpack the data stored on Floppy Disks 1 through 3. Turn on the printer first, then print the corresponding file.
The printout shows a Reciprocating Compressor with Part ID: 956 – this is the code for the locked box. Inside, you’ll find Barcode (South Brae) – Locker 17.
Open CEG Locker 17: Find the Boltcutters and First Mechanical Part
Return to the CEG Employee Lockers and scan Barcode (South Brae) from 5 South Brae. The device shows: Locker 17 – PIN 575. Open the locker with 575 and you’ll find the Boltcutters and a Mechanical Part for the Strange Gate on Atlas Way. The Boltcutters are important because they allow you to access additional blocked-off areas of Clara Woods.
6 North Brae: Solve the Lamenting Poem Puzzle
- Quick walkthrough: Count 7 boats, 3 arches, and 6 children in the pictures. This gives you the code 736.
At 6 North Brae, you’ll find the Lamenting Poem next to a locked box.
The poem mentions three motifs:
- boats
- arches
- children
You’ll find these motifs in several paintings and photographs around the house. Count the objects in the order in which they appear in the poem.
You should get:
- 7 boats
- 3 arches
- 6 children
That makes the code for the locked box at 6 North Brae 736. Open it and take Barcode (North Brae) – Locker 204.
Open CEG Locker 204 and Find the Second Mechanical Part
Return to the CEG Employee Lockers and scan Barcode (North Brae) from 6 North Brae. The scanner shows: Locker 204 – PIN 971. Open the locker. Inside, you’ll find another Mechanical Part along with additional resources.
5 Upper Brae: Solve the Tape Puzzle With Today, Yesterday & Tomorrow
- Quick walkthrough: Use the tapes to switch between different states of the house, use Tape: Do Not Play to get the Back Door Key, and then collect the Ammonite Disk. With Tape: Yesterday, you can read the Current Count file. The code for the locked box is 129.
The puzzle at 5 Upper Brae is considerably more elaborate. In the upstairs office, you’ll find:
- a locked box
- the partially unreadable clue The Code Today
- a tape player
First, listen to Tape: Today. Then go to the bedroom and take Tape: Yesterday from the tape player. Bring it back to the office and play it. The environment changes – you travel back in time.

Find Tape: Tomorrow
While in the Yesterday state, go to the living room downstairs. An open lockbox is now sitting on the coffee table. Inside, you’ll find Tape: Tomorrow. You’ll also find The Code Before on the dining table: 192.
Next, play Tape: Tomorrow. The house changes again. In the living room, you’ll now find The Code After: 125.
Find Tape: Do Not Play and the Back Door Key
In the kitchen, you’ll find another tape: Tape: Do Not Play. The name is obviously an invitation. Play the tape. The Back Door Key will then appear in the kitchen. Switch back to Tape: Today and go through the back door. In the storage shed in the backyard that is now accessible, you’ll find the Ammonite Disk.
Optional: Find Strange Postcard 14
Before you continue, you can grab another collectible. Play Tape: Tomorrow and go through the back door again. In the storage shed all the way to the left, you’ll find Strange Postcard 14.
Open the Locked Box at 5 Upper Brae: Code 129
Play Tape: Yesterday again and insert the Ammonite Disk into the drive. A sequence of numbers appears on the screen under Current Count.
You already know:
- “before” = 192
- “after” = 125
You’re looking for the current value between those two entries. The correct code is 129. Switch back to the state in which the locked box is accessible and enter 129. Inside, you’ll find Barcode (Upper Brae) – Locker 94.
Open CEG Locker 94 and Find the Third Mechanical Part
Return to the CEG Employee Lockers one last time and scan Barcode (Upper Brae). The device shows: Locker 94 – PIN 490. Open the locker and you’ll find the final Mechanical Part you need for the Strange Gate on Atlas Way.
Open the Strange Gate on Atlas Way: Combine the Three Mechanical Parts
If you followed my walkthrough, you should now have three Mechanical Parts from:
- CEG Locker 17
- CEG Locker 204
- CEG Locker 94

Combine the three parts in your inventory. Then head to the end of Atlas Way and insert the Constructed Mechanical Device into the Strange Gate. This opens the gate and allows you to leave Clara Woods toward CEG HQ.
