Escape: Room 204 Bathroom Door Puzzle – January 18, 1996
In the Otherworld, you end up in a hotel room. There is a dial on the bathroom door where you have to enter a day, month, and year.

You can find the three parts of the date inside the room:
- The hotel card on the desk shows the year 1996.
- Activate the CRTV and tune it to the correct frequency. The images reveal the number 18.
- A calendar has January marked.
Set the dial to January 18, 1996. The bathroom door opens, and you’ll find a note at the sink along with the key to Room 204, which lets you leave the hotel room.
A Connection: Restore Power to Zoe’s House
Inside Zoe’s house, you need to use the computer in the living room. Without power, however, you won’t get very far. First, search the left drawer in the kitchen. Inside is a flashlight, but it’s missing batteries. Head upstairs and enter the room on the left. You’ll find the batteries in the drawer of a small cabinet. Combine them with the flashlight in your inventory.

With the flashlight, you can now investigate the small room behind the stairs opposite the front door. There you’ll find instructions explaining how to top up the electricity credit. To do that, you need a prepaid electricity card.
Find the Electricard / Prepaid Power Card at Peter’s Newsagent
Leave Zoe’s house and head to the newsstand marked on the map. You have to enter through the back door. Be careful, as there is a monster outside the store. The prepaid electricity card you need is inside the cash register.

You’ll also find a wooden plank on the counter that you can use as a melee weapon. Then return to Zoe’s house and use the card at the electricity meter as described in the instructions you found earlier. The power will now be restored.
Organ Transport Box Code: Enter 956 and 133
Go to the computer in the living room and read Zoe’s emails. The second email explains how the six-digit code for the organ transport box is put together: You need the first and last three digits of an ET number.
You’ll find it on an organ transplant card in the upstairs bathroom near the shower. The correct combination is 956133. Enter the six digits on the organ transport box to obtain Zoe’s staff ID for the scales puzzle.
Clinic Reception Code: Enter 2896
Later, you reach the Shorefront Family Clinic. First, head to Zoe Ellis’ office. There is a scalpel inside the first-aid kit. You’ll also find a sticky note right next to the monitor. It contains the code for the locked reception desk: 2896.
Next, read the emails on the computer. The first message from Jess marks her house on your map. Then use 2896 to open the reception desk. Read the note inside and listen to the answering machine. This marks the pharmacy as your next destination on the map.
Pharmacy Locker Code: Enter 6539
Use the scalpel to open the door to the pharmacy. Inside, you’ll find a four-digit combination lock. First, calibrate the radio signal on the receiver, then watch the recording through the CRTV for clues.

The four digits are represented by different objects around the pharmacy:
- The poster in the restroom shows six fingers → 6
- The poster by the window shows the number 5 → 5
- The clock in the video shows 3 p.m. → 3
- The antibiotics poster shows a blister pack with ten pills, with one missing → 9
That makes the code 6539. Inside, you’ll find a bag of medication for the scales puzzle.
Find and Search Jess’ House
Next, you need to find Jess. A note on her front door says that her house key is inside number 16. You’ll find the house at the eastern end of Farrow Street, just before the parking area.

Head upstairs. On the dining table, you’ll find the key to Jess’ house at number 21. Inside Jess’ home, you’ll find the damaged stethoscope for the scales puzzle on the bedroom bed.
- Optional: In the ground-floor apartment, you’ll find a blue lockbox, but you don’t have the key yet. You can find it in a kitchen drawer inside Jess’ home. Take it back to the lockbox. Inside are an empty IV bag and IV fluid.
Solve the Clinic Scales Puzzle: Correct Item Order
Return to Zoe Ellis’ office at the clinic. There are three empty scales sitting on the crates. The note in front of them contains three clues referring to items Zoe associates with her mistakes.
Place the following items on the scales from left to right:
- Damaged Stethoscope from Jess’ house – clue: “didn’t listen closely enough”
- Dosage Error Note from the pharmacy – clue: “I made mistakes”
- Zoe’s Lanyard from Zoe’s house – clue: “I’m no longer fit for the job”
This solves the scales puzzle and allows you to continue the story.
