Chapter 5 “Richard” of Silent Hill: Townfall takes you back to CEG Headquarters. My walkthrough shows you all the important codes, where to find the Projector Bulb and Projector Lens, and the correct order for the Projector Slides.
In Chapter 5 of Silent Hill: Townfall, you take control of Richard and explore CEG Headquarters from a new perspective. The projector puzzle is particularly extensive: First, you need an access card, a new bulb, and a lens. After that, you have to arrange six Projector Slides in the correct order.

Getting Inside: Restore Power to CEG Headquarters
At the start of Chapter 5, you’ll find yourself outside CEG Headquarters. First, open the gate and search the buildings around the grounds.
Your main objective is the Manager’s Office upstairs in the small office building. Behind the door, you’ll find the Generator Key inside a key cabinet. Take it and return to the yellow generator in the courtyard.
When you try to start the generator, it initially reports a pump failure. Follow the cable around to the back, where you’ll find three levers.
The correct setup is:
- left lever: leave vertical
- middle lever: leave vertical
- right lever: flip it
Return to the front of the generator, insert the key, and activate it. Power to the facility is now restored.
Open the Locker Outside: Code 147
Once the power is back on, you can also use the computer in the small container office. Open the file DONTREAD.DOC. It contains several number combinations.
For the locked locker in the container office, you need: Code: 147
Inside the locker, you’ll find a First Aid Kit. Once you’ve finished searching the area, use the large construction elevator and climb across the scaffolding to enter CEG Headquarters.
Another Attempt: Find the Access Card – Level 3/4
Work your way up through CEG Headquarters. Important: Pick up as much ammunition as you can – you’re going to need it. Most of the ammo can be found near Richard’s bodies scattered throughout the building.
Your first major destination is the Boardroom on the 5th Floor. After the cutscene, you’ll find the Access Card – Level 3/4 there. There’s also a projector in the same room that isn’t working. Examine it and you’ll discover that two parts are missing: a Projector Bulb and a Projector Lens. You’ll find both on the floors below.
Search Public Relations and Find Code 1607
Take your new access card back to the 3rd Floor and open the Public Relations area. Search the offices thoroughly. Next to a body in the southeastern room, you’ll find Richard’s Note. It contains several codes that you’ll need later.
The code for the locked Public Relations Records room is: 1607. The room isn’t required to progress the story, but it does contain additional supplies.
More important is the staircase inside Public Relations. It takes you up to the Media Department on the 4th Floor.
Find the Projector Bulb on the 4th Floor
In the Media Department, first head into the office on the western side. Next to a body, you’ll find the CEG Storeroom Key. Use it to unlock the storeroom on the opposite side of the department.

Look for the cabinet labeled General Storage. Inside, you’ll find:
- the Projector Bulb
- the CEG Checkout Sheet for the borrowed Projector Lens
The CEG Checkout Sheet tells you that F. Sloan from Finance on the 3rd Floor borrowed the Projector Lens. It also gives you the door code you need: 2709
Open Finance: Code 2709 and Find the Projector Lens
Return to the 3rd Floor and head to the locked Finance door. You need both your access card and a number code to open it. Enter 2709.
Search the Finance area, then head into the CFO’s office. Open the desk drawer to find the Projector Lens.
You now have both replacement parts for the projector:
- Projector Bulb from the Media Department
- Projector Lens from Finance
Repair the Projector and Take the CEG Maintenance Key
Return to the Boardroom on the 5th Floor. Insert the Projector Bulb first, followed by the Projector Lens. Activate the device using the red switch. A meeting agenda will now appear on the screen – you’ll need it later.
First, however, you need to find the corresponding Projector Slides. After the cutscene, also take the CEG Maintenance Key from one of the bodies at the table. You can use it to open the previously locked Maintenance areas.
Find the Projector Slides on the Mezzanine
Use the CEG Maintenance Key to open the Maintenance area and climb down the ladders. Keep descending until you reach the 2nd Floor. From there, make your way through Operations.
Open Storage on the 2nd Floor
There’s an additional storage room containing supplies in Operations. The code is: 1306.
Afterward, continue down to the 1st Floor.
Open the Storeroom on the 1st Floor
You’ll also find a locked storeroom containing useful supplies in Administration. The code is: 4512
Then follow the path to the southeastern staircase. It leads down to the Mezzanine. Look for The Gallery Meeting Room. The six Projector Slides you need are lying on the table. Pick them up, then return to the projector on the 5th Floor.
Solve the Projector Puzzle: Correct Slide Order
Back in the Boardroom, you can examine each of the six Projector Slides individually. Each slide shows a different image. The agenda on the screen tells you the order in which the topics are supposed to be presented. Match each image to the corresponding agenda item.
The correct order is:

In short:
D – F – B – C – E – A
Insert the slides into the projector in this order, then start the presentation. After the following cutscene, you’ll receive the CEO Access Card.
Use the CEO Access Card and Reach the 10th Floor
With the CEO Access Card, you can now unlock the elevator to the 10th Floor.
Ride the elevator up and continue along the path. This completes the main puzzle sequence in Chapter 5 “Richard”.
