Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – Review
Resonance is the strongest entry in the series yet. The combat system is easy to pick up, the pacing between action, puzzles, exploration, and storytelling hits the mark, and Sophia is a charismatic new heroine. The only real weaknesses: some supporting characters remain underdeveloped, the puzzles are a little too easy, and there’s no New Game Plus mode.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and has been included with Xbox Game Pass since day one. If you have your eye on the Exclusive Collector Box, make sure to read the fine print: the €149 collector’s box includes a hand-painted figurine, a SteelBook, three art prints, and a metal ring replica – but no game and no download code. It also won’t ship until late 2026.

Trophy Guide: How to Earn Platinum
There are 37 trophies waiting for you on PS5 – one Platinum, five Gold, nine Silver, and 22 Bronze. PC and Xbox players can unlock 36 achievements. Not a single trophy is tied to the difficulty setting, and you can theoretically unlock everything in a single playthrough. I’ll show you the most efficient way to do it.

Collectible Guides: Blades and Charms
Sophia can collect seven blades throughout the game, each of which changes her combat style – from stun damage and bleeding effects to stronger parries. Most of these weapons are hidden inside Hero Tombs, whose entrances must first be opened by completing light or color puzzles. Collect all seven blades and you’ll earn the Gold Trophy “Looter.”
There are also 30 charms to find, including five so-called Echoes of Theseus. These pendants grant Sophia passive combat bonuses, such as longer parry windows, stronger critical attacks, or a chance to survive an otherwise fatal hit. Collect them all and you’ll unlock two trophies at once.

Puzzle and Chapter Walkthroughs
Chapter 4, “From hell it rose,” is one of the most puzzle-heavy sections in the game. Using the newly acquired Light Revelation ability, you’ll need to uncover hidden symbols, reflect beams of light correctly, and navigate deadly spike traps. The chapter ends with a multi-stage symbol puzzle centered around a bull’s head.
