After your first playthrough, it’s not over yet: Pragmata features a hidden true ending that you can only unlock with a specific approach. This guide walks you through the entire process.

Finishing Pragmata’s story once doesn’t mean you’re done. The secret ending requires you to complete several post-game objectives and face the final boss again. The key is to stay organized, since many of the steps build on each other.

Step 1: Entering the Post-Game

After your first playthrough, you’ll unlock “Unknown Signal” mode. You can start it directly from the main menu by loading your completed save file. You’ll be placed right before the final boss fight again, but now you also gain access to the new sector “Hidden Chamber”, which you can reach via the lunar rail terminal.

Inside the Hidden Chamber, you’ll meet a new large Cabin who introduces ten new simulation missions. Completing the first mission rewards you with a trophy and the following bonuses:

Step 2: Reach 100% in All Sectors

After completing the first simulation mission, you’ll receive two new objectives: finish all simulation missions in the Hidden Chamber and complete all sectors in Pragmata to 100%. You can now freely revisit every sector via the lunar rail.

At the same time, you’ll also need to defeat all bosses again. These aren’t simple repeats—each one returns as a stronger MK-II version. They have more health and attack more aggressively, so you’ll need to adjust both your loadout and your strategy. The new Mods you unlock in the Hidden Chamber can be especially helpful here.

  • Important: These three objectives are linked. Completing a sector or defeating a boss again unlocks a new simulation mission. That’s how you’ll reach a total of ten missions.

To fully complete each sector, you’ll need to collect every collectible and explore every area thoroughly. Our collectible guides already cover a large portion of these:

Step 3: Equip the “Black Box” Mod

The Hidden Chamber rewards you with several upgrades, but the most important one is the support Mod “Black Box”. You must equip it before moving on to the final step. Without it, the secret ending will remain locked—even if you’ve completed every other requirement.

Step 4: The Final Battle and the Secret Ending

Once you’ve completed all missions in Unknown Signal, return to the Central Port. There, you’ll face the final boss again—this time significantly tougher, with new attack patterns and additional hacking mechanics that prevent you from relying on old strategies.

After your victory, events will initially play out as usual, including the final sequence against Abiosis. The difference only becomes apparent during the credits: you’ll see additional scenes that are missing from the standard ending. After the familiar post-credit scene, another sequence plays, offering new clues about the outcome of the story. This also unlocks the Pragmata trophy “The Right Man for the Job.”
