Best Location for Mysterious Mushrooms
You can find Mysterious Mushrooms on Sakurajima Island in the northwest of the world map. Travel to the southern or southeastern part of the island and look for the Mushroom Wetlands. Numerous large mushrooms grow close together in this area. Keep in mind that the enemies here are Level 50 or higher, so you should be at least Level 45 yourself.
Focus on destroying the large blue mushrooms. They have a higher chance of dropping a Mysterious Mushroom. Most of the time, you will still receive regular Mushrooms, so you may need to destroy several plants. You do not need a special tool. The mushrooms can be destroyed with melee weapons, ranged weapons, or attacks from your Pals.
How to Farm Mysterious Mushrooms Fast

You can also obtain Mysterious Mushrooms by capturing or defeating certain Pals. Three different species can drop them in version 1.0.
- Shroomer Noct drops one or two Mysterious Mushrooms. You can find this Pal in the Mushroom Wetlands on Sakurajima and inside the Cherry Blossom Cave. Search mainly in the eastern part of the island.
- Dualith Noct drops three to five Mysterious Mushrooms.
- Mycora can drop two or three Mysterious Mushrooms, but the drop chance is only 50 percent. You can find Mycora near the World Tree.

You unlock it at Technology Level 39 and need 20 Leather, 20 Mysterious Mushrooms, 30 Fiber, ten Refined Ingots, and 30 Paldium Fragments. Once crafted, you can ride Shroomer Noct as a mount. You can also use 20 Mysterious Mushrooms to craft Mysterious Mushroom Juice. The recipe additionally requires ten Beautiful Flowers, ten Horns, five Bones, and five Aquatic Pal Fluids. The juice greatly increases a Pal’s work speed for a limited time but also causes its SAN to drop significantly.
You need ten Mysterious Mushrooms to craft the Growth Acceleration Bell. This rare accessory increases the amount of EXP earned by your Pals. Mysterious Mushrooms are also required for several research upgrades related to Medicine Production.
