In the main mission “Mister Walpole, I Presume”, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced introduces you to the fundamentals of the Assassin’s craft. Before embarking on greater adventures, you’ll need to demonstrate your proficiency with both firearms and stealth assassinations. This walkthrough explains step by step how to complete the mission successfully.
Master the target practice
After speaking with the Governor’s guards, you’ll be allowed to enter the manor. Inside, your first test begins immediately as one of the men evaluates your accuracy with a pair of pistols.
First, you’ll have a chance to practice shooting several targets without any pressure to get familiar with the controls. Once a target turns red, fire your weapon. Immediately afterward, you’ll repeat the challenge under a 30-second time limit. Focus on hitting each target quickly without missing. A useful trick is to aim at the first target before the countdown finishes, saving yourself a few valuable seconds.
Complete all four assassination challenges
Once you’ve finished the shooting exercise, you’ll move on to an assassination training course. Here, you’ll need to eliminate four practice dummies using different assassination techniques, with each station teaching you a new approach.
You’ll need to perform the following assassinations:
- An aerial assassination using a rope stretched between two buildings
- A corner assassination from cover beside a wall
- An assassination from inside a haystack
- A running assassination performed while sprinting
After eliminating all four training dummies, this section of the mission comes to an end. There’s no time limit here, so feel free to take your time. For the corner assassination, make sure you sneak close enough to the dummy before attempting the attack. Only then will the assassination prompt appear.
Deliver the object and spend the night on the rooftop
Next, meet with the Governor. During the conversation, you’ll hand over the mysterious object you took from the assassin on the island. After discussing the artifact, the evening winds down over a shared drink before you’re instructed to find a place to spend the night.
Unfortunately, you’ll be turned away once you arrive at the tavern, leaving you to find another place to sleep. Climb onto the rooftop nearby and rest at the marked location. Doing so completes “Mister Walpole, I Presume”, allowing you to continue your journey through Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
