In AION 2, you never swap your amulet and belt for better drops. You get both from the main quests and upgrade them yourself. Here’s how to enhance them, where the Enhance Scrolls come from, and how Substance Morph takes them to the next quality tier.
In this AION 2 guide, you’ll learn:
- why you keep your amulet and belt for the whole game
- how to enhance both and what it costs
- how to earn the amulet scrolls through Monolith Resonance
- how to earn the belt scrolls in Strongholds
- how to reach the next quality tier with Substance Morph once you hit +10
Note: This guide reflects the state of the game on October 3, 2026. I play an Asmodian at level 33. I’ve already upgraded my amulet once, but not my belt yet. The screenshots show the German client. Costs and stats may still change with future updates.

Amulet and Belt in AION 2: The Two Items You Keep
You get the Revelation Amulet and the Noble Belt during the main quests. You won’t simply find a better amulet or belt out in the world. Instead, you enhance both items up to +10 and then upgrade them to the next quality tier with Substance Morph. The difference matters: Enhancing adds one plus level, while upgrading turns the item into a new, higher quality tier.
| Item | Stats | Scrolls come from |
|---|---|---|
| Revelation Amulet | Weapon Damage Boost, Penetration, from Epic also Power Shard Damage Bonus | Monolith Resonance |
| Noble Belt | HP, HP Potion Recovery, from Epic also Defense | Strongholds |
There’s also the Fierce Battle Amulet for fighting other players. Its scrolls apparently cost Abyss Points, so it’s an endgame item. I don’t have it yet.
How to Enhance Your Amulet and Belt in AION 2
You enhance both just like the rest of your gear: under “Growth” in the Enhancement window. Every plus level costs Enhance Stones, Kina and exactly one matching Enhance Scroll. In my attempts, the success rate was 100 % every time.
Taking my Revelation Amulet from +2 to +3 cost 4,080 Enhance Stones, one scroll and 102,000 Kina. In return, Penetration went up by 30 and the Power Shard Damage Bonus by 3. For my Noble Belt, the same step from +2 to +3 took only 340 Enhance Stones and 8,500 Kina and added 50 HP. The difference comes from the quality tier: My amulet is already Epic, my belt is still Rare.

According to the game data, this is what it costs to reach +10 on each quality tier, the same for the amulet and the belt:
Quality tier Item Level Kina to +10 Enhance Stones to +10 Rare 13 232,000 9,280 Epic 36 1,579,000 63,060 Unique 65 5,026,000 200,980
Each plus level needs one scroll, so all three quality tiers add up to 30 scrolls per item. One way to get Enhance Stones is to extract your old gear. Potential enhancement, which some weapons and armor pieces support, isn’t available for the amulet.
Amulet Scrolls: Monolith Resonance
You get the amulet scrolls through Monolith Resonance: Asmodians use the Altgard Monolith, Elyos the Verteron Monolith. To do this, you collect Empyrean Traces, the feathers you pick up all over the world. Their locations are marked with a feather icon on the map. You’ll also find the Monolith there and can travel to it directly.

At the Monolith, you trade your traces for the next level through Resonance. The first levels only cost a few traces, and every level after that gets more expensive. The Monolith goes up to level 30, but the levels unlock gradually: Mine currently shows “17 / 20”.
From level 2 on, every level gives you one Revelation Amulet Enhance Scroll, and level 30 even gives you two. That’s exactly the 30 scrolls you need for all three quality tiers. On top of that, there are more rewards:
Levels Additional reward Total 2 to 9 Key: Hidden Cube 12 10, 20 and 30 one title each 3 11 to 19 Soul Codex: Reset 18 21 to 29 Amplify Stone Fragment 18
Each level also raises two stats named after the Empyrean Lords, such as Freedom [Vaizel] and Death [Triniel]. By level 30, eight of these stats reach +6 each and two reach +5 each.

My tip: Start with the amulet. You pick up the traces along the way from quest to quest, and the amulet increases your damage.
Belt Scrolls: Exploring Strongholds
The belt scrolls come from Strongholds. These are camps on the map that you have to explore and clear out. You can see which ones you’ve already discovered or completed in the exploration tab of your map. Strongholds you haven’t found yet are listed as undiscovered. In Altgard, my list shows 14 Strongholds.

A Stronghold takes me five to ten minutes when I take my time. You can do them solo, and as far as I can tell, most of them can only be played alone. As a completion reward, I got two Noble Belt Enhance Scrolls and 15,000 Kina per Stronghold, and one of them also gave me a title.

From +10: Substance Morph to the Next Quality Tier
Once your amulet or belt is at +10, you upgrade it with Substance Morph. You’ll find it in the Substance Morph menu under the equipment tab. Pick the recipe there. Important: Your amulet or belt has to be at +10 and unequipped in your cube (inventory). As long as you’re wearing it, Substance Morph won’t show that you own it. The success rate is 100 %. You can only do each Substance Morph once per character.
The order is Rare, Epic, Unique. After Substance Morph, the item starts at +0 again, but with much higher base stats. The Noble Belt, for example, jumps from 100 to 600 HP, HP Potion Recovery doubles to 20 %, and it gains 200 Defense.

Noble Belt Rare Epic Unique Item Level 13 36 65 HP 100 600 1,100 HP Potion Recovery 10 % 20 % 30 % Defense none 200 500 Regeneration none none 5 % Revelation Amulet Rare Epic Unique Item Level 13 36 65 Weapon Damage Boost 5 % 7.5 % 10 % Penetration 100 400 700 Power Shard Damage Bonus none 10 40 Perfect Chance none none 5 %
The tables show the base stats at +0. Each plus level adds 30 Penetration to the amulet, plus 3 Power Shard Damage Bonus from Epic on. The belt gains 50 HP per level, plus 30 Defense from Epic on.

Good luck upgrading, and grab every feather that floats your way!
