IO Interactive has confirmed the exact unlock times for 007 First Light. We also now know how you can start playing early and how much storage space you should set aside.
The wait is almost over. IO Interactive’s 007 First Light launches on May 27, 2026, and unlocks at 11 a.m. Eastern Time / 8 a.m. Pacific Time. Here you will find your local launch time. Those who do not want to wait until the official release date can get started one day earlier. IO Interactive is offering 24 hours of early access, beginning on May 26, 2026, at the same time. However, this requires a digital preorder of 007 First Light. You need to buy the digital version through the respective store, such as the PlayStation Store, Xbox, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.
It does not matter which version you buy. Only physical disc versions are excluded from early access. As a preorder bonus, you will also receive the Digital Deluxe Edition content at no extra cost. The standard price in the PlayStation Store is 69.99 euros.
Preload & download size for 007 First Light
A specific date or time for a possible preload phase, meaning the ability to download the game before it unlocks, has not yet been announced. Neither IO Interactive nor the platform holders have confirmed a date so far. For major releases, preloads usually begin a few days before launch, provided one is offered at all.
As for storage requirements, there is at least a clear figure for PC. The PC system requirements for 007 First Light list around 80 gigabytes of free storage space. Official details for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are not yet available in the respective stores. Console versions are often similar in size, though. It is also entirely possible that a day-one patch could add a sizeable number of gigabytes at launch.
