007 First Light: Key Things to Know About the Game

007 First Light launched on May 27, 2026. Anyone who preordered the digital version was able to start playing one day early. On PC and consoles, you should plan for around 80 GB of free storage space.

You start out as an inexperienced MI6 recruit and gradually work your way up to becoming a 00 agent. The missions take you around the globe and usually let you decide whether to move quietly and stay under the radar or take a more direct, confrontational approach, similar to IOI’s popular Hitman series.

What really drives 007 First Light is its variety. One moment you are eavesdropping on conversations, the next you are hacking systems or fighting through waves of enemies. You can find out how well that all comes together in our 007 First Light review.

Playtime and Scope

How long you play depends heavily on how thorough you are. If you stick to the story, you can finish it in about 14 hours. If you take time for optional content and alternate paths, you are looking at closer to 20 hours. If you want to see everything, including trophies and additional modes, your playtime can climb significantly higher.

One key factor is TacSim mode. It lets you replay missions, but under changed conditions. That makes it a good way to try different approaches or complete any challenges you missed.
