Once you reach Antarctica in 007 First Light, you’ll need to solve a math equation for the keypad puzzle in front of the command center. Here’s the code.
In the Webb Industries office complex (Chapter 9: Wave of the Future), you’ll need to upgrade the security level of your ID wristband in 007 First Light to reach the command center. One possible route takes you through a locked archive door just past the “Operations” section. To unlock it, you’ll have to crack a puzzle to obtain the code. We’ll walk you through it.
- Important: The “Snoop Around” challenge only triggers the first time you read the note. So don’t just look up and enter the code and follow this walkthrough step by step.
Find the Office Key and Keypad Puzzle
First, head a few steps further to the staff area. Take the office key from the security guard by poisoning him with a dart and then pickpocketing him. Go back down the hallway and use it to open the locked door. Inside one of the lockers, you’ll find the “keypad puzzle.”

How to Solve the Keypad Puzzle in 007 First Light
The “keypad puzzle” lays out four conditions for the digits and includes a historical hint: the answer is the year of a famous battle.
- Digit #1: I am one.
- Digit #2: I am two higher than digit 3.
- Digit #3: I am two higher than digit 4.
- Digit #4: I am ten less than the sum of digits 3 and 2.
The first digit is given directly: “I am 1.” We also know that digit 2 is two greater than digit 3, and digit 3 is two greater than digit 4. The fourth digit must be ten less than the sum of digits 2 and 3—this only works if digit 3 is 6.
Using that value, digit 2 becomes 8 and digit 4 becomes 4. The code is 1864, the year of the Battle of Mobile Bay.
